Our backup pgs played a combined 53 minutes and scored only 4 points, yet we still beat a rival on the road. That should be a memo to Wall that he shouldn't take 20 shots in a game. It should also be a memo to Leonsis that EG has once again failed to do his job.
Somehow i doubt that either guy will get the memo.

I lost any hope he could be better than Gortat, or even Jason Smith.
In each game he needs to received offensive faul and tournover. Occasionaly he is blocked and very often he allow to score easily faster smaller guys. He was supposed to be rim protector right?
And this huge insane contract he has...

Is Mahinmi better than Ruffin? I'd say it's a push.
Ruffin was shorter w/ less length. But he was more durable. And, he had the good sense to stay in his lane, offensively. Mahinmi will frequently attempt offensive maneuvers well above his skill level.
On the whole, it's Mahinmi by a nose. But it's sad that I had to think about it, though.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Last year against the Pistons which was the 2nd to last game of the season.

I love Wall, but it's always bothered me a bit to hear him talk about individual accomplishments.
Want to get noticed, want to get the respect you think you deserve? Go out there and consistently do things that contribute to winning basketball and cut out the things that hold you back from accomplishing that goal.
4 turnovers a game? Not getting it done.
Being a turnstile on defense, nope.
13 2papg at .442%, nope.
The way he's talked about Otto, you're the leader, the franchise guy you're supposed to pump your guys up and not chirp about players on other teams.
Don't talk about being the best team in the East while getting embarrassed by the Lakers and Suns, take care of business and let the standings do the talking.

I think, in today's game, with more emphasis on switching, positioning, defensive communication, and pick-and-roll defense, Ruffin might actually be better than Mahinmi. Ruffin was a really smart guy (chemical engineer, IIRC) and always made the right defensive reads.

Wall has shot 20 or more shots 3 times this season and are 1-2 in those games. One of those games was against Golden State and the Wizards were without Beal in the 2nd half, so I am going to give a pass to Wall on that one.
The big thing is that the Wizards gave up only 96 points and perhaps the point guard play had something to do with that especially while containing Lowry to only 2 points, 1 assist, and 1 turnover in 11 minutes, and ultimately causing him to lose his temper and get ejected(even though he probably should have just been called for 1 technical).

Frazier did when they were matched up. The Fleet one shoots 33% against the rest of the NBA. Sato made him look like a star.
Hmmm, when I was watching the repeat - it seemed like he was going by Frazier too - but I would have to watch again to double check.
Did they play more than a couple minutes against each other?

I think so - it was right when Sato went out - he went by Frazier the next two times - and our color commentary said - we just don't have an answer for him.

Fair enough - I missed that. Frazier's certainly no prize himself, but at least he's a PG.

We always have stalwart backup PGs

Thanks for the info.
Now I vaguely remember that game (I’m pretty sure I crossed out that game knowing Wall not playing).
But this year’s squad with Beal and Porter having grown a lot seems to give me more confidence.
