For those that dont want to click it, its the usual talking points (not close to as deep as last year but a better chance to have elite talent at the top). He also has the usual suspects for 1-5.

1) Bagley
2) Ayton
3) Bamba
4) Doncic
5) Porter
6) Jackson
7) Williams
8) Bridges
9) Wendell
10) Sexton

"For a power forward, Bagley, who stands 6-foot-11 and has an 8-9 standing reach, is the full package"

Isn't a 8'9 standing reach pretty bad for a PF? That number can't be true right, as he has a 7'0 ½ wingspan according to draftexpress. Shouldn't it be over 9'0 if he is 6'11 and has a wingspan around 7'1?

Marvin Bagley is 6'9.5" without shoes with short arms (7'0.5" wingspan). That is not very good for an NBA PF. He is on the same level as Josh Jackson. Ayton is the only potential super stud in this draft if he can get his motor on all the time.

You know you took that measurement from 2014 right.. you know, when he would've been around 15? He's not particularly long for his height but seems pretty close to 7 foot at this point and is an elite athletic specimen. I think that's more than enough for a C in this league let alone PF.

The 7'0.5" wingspan was measured in 2016. Note that his height with shoe (6'10.5") remains the same from 2014 to 2016. That means he didn't grow (in 2 years) much after that point. He is no where near 7 feet now.

Seems like he has grown only half of an inch since then, so add half of an inch to both those measurements and that's what he was supposed to be last year. At least from the information available.

I think everyone wants to see how he'll score in the 1/2 court. College season hasn't started yet.. so it's hard to judge everyone.

Yeah, I like his potential, he has a really nice arc to his shot and he has a great frame. There are questions with feel for me so far, but there's still a bunch of time and he hasn't gotten comfortable yet so that's not a great criticism yet. He's also athletic and likes contact. I'd like to see him expand his game with the ball in his hands, like passing and shooting off the dribble, but his handle is also not great. I think in time he's going to figure out how to shoot off the dribble more. I'm also not really convinced with his defense yet, but there's time. He makes good reads defensively off-ball so that's a positive there.

7'0 isn't great, but it's also not terrible. He can still be really effective. He probably just won't have as many blocks and steals as other guys, but he reads the floor well enough that he'll still be able to get his. He's also a really smart player. I'm not worried about that.

I think my number one right now is Porter Jr. I just can't see this guy failing and I think he has it all.

No clue.. I don't think Marvin is going to stay in the top 5 when it's all said and done. Even if he does, it's going to be a mistake picking him so high. Grayson Allen should be an early 2nd round pick, Duval should be in the 20's, never watched Metu play, Nick Richards is intriguing but im going to need to see him at the college level.

I don't like their mock draft regardless, but it's so early.

Do they also give any reasons for their draft numbers? Or is it just a list? I'd love to hear why some guys seem waaaaay to high

Isaac Bonga seems limited but he's young and has a unique skill-set - how do people feel about him being 44 in that top 100?

Replace Knox with Bridges and Bridges with Knox. And put Ayton #1. And I can see that order.

Crushing for a kid like that who is only rated highly because his class is unbelievably weak at PG.

When I watched him in high school he contested a lot of shots at the rim, but he didn't really affect them that much. A lack of length is certainly a legit concern for me, especially since I don't see the skills everybody is raving about. More like a super bouncy energy big to me with some ball handling to grab the ball in transition at this point.
