Its about what I expected his value to be. An expiring and a 1st. Should have traded him this summer.

I'm curious to see if they are able to use the monroe expiring in a trade before the deadline.

I honestly just barely peaked at his stats this year for the first time. I didn't realize he did in fact turn into PorzinGod. But it really isn't about him. I was just throwing something together that suggest we use Monroe's expiring for a disgruntled player (Porzingis came to mind).
We could throw Whiteside's name in the trade instead.

At some point we do need to be offering up our boat load of picks + cap room for a young-ish star. The problem is, there's nobody out there.

That's what I am asking. They wouldn't make the playoffs as it stands today, and Bledsoe may not make them much better. He certainly won't help their spacing while playing with Giannis.

It's also his bi annual injury year.

There is a pretty good chance they are one of the last teams in the playoffs though so the pick could be 15-19 or so which would be decent.

Im not even surprised about this return. I even called it in the last thread. "Look out for the annual trade-disgruntled-player-at-deadline-for-pick-and-expiring-McD-special"

And here it is. But Im not unhappy with the return.

I think Monroe is a great addition to our team. Great passer for a big man, and can help facilitate the offence in the high post. Down low, he is a good finisher at the rim with nice touch, which this team sorely needs. Solid rebounder on the defensive side of the ball too.

This was a trade that had to be made, and hell Im glad we wont be the ones in a stalemate with Rich Paul in 18months time when he wants 150/3 for Eric "ball stopper" Bledsoe

That's the problem, last year we had PG13, Jimmy Butler, Boogie Cousins. Can even put in Serge Ibaka and Melo. I was completely down for the Bledsoe + 4th pick for Kyrie. I really liked Warren last year and thought he could be a 20 point scorer with 6 boards and 1.5 steals per game. McD is blowing it, his timing has been horrible in everything since he's gotten here.

I bet we look to pair the Bucks and Heat picks to move up a few spot.

And do what? Draft a guy and watch him sit behind the scrubs we have now.

That's like going all in when you have a pair of pair of 10s and a pair of 7s. Anyway, I don't know what "star" would even be dealt. They have to really want out and they'd have to be under contract for awhile.

We just can't be playing Jackson and Bender a combined 23 minutes like last night. That's not a good way for our team to improve.

Lol...jackass kicking sand in our face. After the past 10 years, we are immune to insults, so you'll have to win a championship to get your jollies, because it won't be from us jumping off the bridge. Actually you should teach us how to handle disappointment for 30 years in a row, like you guys have since the Maurice Lucas days, it looks like we are headed were you have resided since eternity.

I think Dudley got some extended time because they might have been trying to deal him with Bled. He sucked big time, and low an behold a deal was made this morning. I doubt they keep giving Duds mins anymore.

We were linked to Blake Griffin, Kyrie Irving, and Porzingis in the offseason. Now look at where we’re at. We also traded Bledsoe, IT, and Dragic for draft picks and cash. Unreal.

That's a fairly good hand TBH.

I haven't watched the last two games as I've been working. I don't know how a lot of you are so confident in Jackson, but his shot is so off-putting it makes me question whether or not he can be anything more than a MKG, Tony Allen like player. I hope I eat crow for it.

Here's another scenario, Luol Deng and Kyle Kuzma for Greg Monroe and the Bucks pick. Lakers trying for stars this summer, they could potentially get Lebron and CP3. Just spit-balling here, but since the Lakers did just dump Mozgov and D'Lo for an expiring Brook Lopez, something like this could be possible.

We played Dudley because Chriss and Bender have played like **** for the last couple of games. They have looked G-League players out there, that's why Triano had to play some minutes Jackson at PF or Dudley coming from an injury.

Chriss/Bender werent the greatest out there but definitely not that bad to play Dudley in favor of them.

I think Lakers would be much more likely to trade future picks along with Deng than Kuzma. If they're clearing cap space, it's for two max players and I think they need guys like Kuzma to attract those big name free agents (Bron etc.).

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bledsoe go down before April. He's going to end up being like Shaq, Nash, Hill when they left Phoenix. Someone mentioned it over the summer that Bledsoe's knees won't hold up.

Hell, D'Angelo Russell would be looking pretty salty right now next to Booker, nevermind the fact that they're best friends.

With Chandler, Len, Monroe, Alan Williams, on the roster, McD is far from done

Nah I think they learned their lesson trading future picks, plus they don't have theirs for this upcoming draft anyway. I could see them trying to use Julius Randle to dump Deng but no one will bite on that. They clearly aren't going to trade Ball/Ingram, and Clarkson is already on his 2nd contract so he's likely not going anywhere too. Larry Nance Jr is a nice rotational player, but not nice enough to take on Deng's deal.
