I don't think it does. I think it amps up the pressure.

Yeah next year would be the year to worry about. After that, Bledsoe, Khris, and Telly are all off the books. I guess if they are repeat offenders they should be worried but can't worry about that now.

That's when Bledsoe and Middleton are up for near max contracts and Jabari may already be on a max depending on how he plays this season. After that, how do we maintain depth?

Winning can work wonders. If you can build a perennial contender in the Eastern Conference, you may be able to get guys to take less money to keep the band together.

Exactly. And if it doesn't work, you're going to want to try something new.

I think the opposite actually. There are no more excuses at this point

Im imagining the team struggling a month from now and hearing about how we need to give them time to build chemistry. Where as if we didn't have Bledsoe, Kidd would already be fired if we are struggling a month from now.

But yeah, it could shorten the leash. You're right

I knew the Bucks were feeling some pressure after the stumbles recently, but I thought it would make them desperate enough to give up Thon or Brogdon, not to make a move like this. This should have always been a yes trade.

I'd be more jacked if this was a Kidd/Staff, 1st, and 2nd for Spoelstra/Staff trade.

With his agent this is probably unlikely. But with some of the blah deals guys like Teague and Hill got this year (off the top of my memory anyway) he might just be willing to tack on a year or two to his deal to get that money locked in. Something like that makes an extension much more palatable than a 4/100 type thing. 2/35 tacked on though this offseason if he does well and is healthy...

Trade middleton for a young, cheap big.

Bledsoe is an upgrade talentwise over Monroe, but I'm not convinced that it is that large. Plus add Bledsoes injury risk, lack of 3pt shooting, ball dominance, I'm not jumping up for joy. In that he can take minutes from Delly is obviously the big plus in this. But if the Bucks don't make another move for a center, Thon has to stop playing like hot garbage and Henson has to really become steadying force (gulp). Bucks are currently last in rebounding rate (weren't good last year either - 26th), they really will need to improve as a team there.

I don't see the potential for aghastness here.

So instead of being desperate enough to give up Thon we gave up a 1st rounder + a 2nd. Is Thon really worth that much more in your eyes? I'd take the 1st rounder over him straight up

Major props to Horst for standing his ground with Monroe/1st and waiting for the Suns to come crawling back. This is what I was calling for him to do, really boosted my confidence in him. Hambone gives up one of Brgdon/Thon/Jabari here, or no deal at all

Yea I don't either. Maybe if we let Jabari walk?

Let's flip Bledsoe for Reddick...

Like the deal. Now, need to find a big body Center. Everytime we face the Drummonds & DH12s of the world, they wreck our interior defense due to Thon being weak and Henson being the fat/skinny guy. We need someone stout to come in on those matchups.

Sadly, the Bucks don't have any good PF options to put next to him. Mirza? Wilson? Go super small with Midds at PF and Giannis at C?

Exactly. If Kidd can't shape this team up in the next 60-days, he's gone IMO. Sets the pretext for us.

ETA: More accurately the pretext for LED
