Is this the best value trade in Bucks history?

"uniquely protected" sounds like a rainbow colored condom

My guess would be that Brogdon goes to the bench rather than Snell just to stagger the playmakers a bit. Brog should still be able to play 30+ MPG even if he comes off the bench.

Delly should be playing 15 mins max after this trade. Just send him out to throw some elbows if the team is playing soft

Very much a tertiary thing in this deal - Moose will probably miss playing alongside Brogdon.

Yea, I don't like the idea of Snell being relied on while Giannis and Bledsoe are sitting. Until Parker comes back the lineup should be

Bledsoe
Snell
Middleton
Giannis
Henson

Yes they gave up some draft assets but perhaps a future trade can get some of those back. Time will tell but this move shows Horst isn't a complete idiot at least.

Random reactions:

- Honestly Moose might have added more wins than Bledsoe due to team need and health

- Would consider limiting Eric to 30 mpg to keep his knees from flaring up

- I prefer to keep the shooters in the starting lineup but it probably won't even be considered

- The Bucks would've been a top MLE destination in free agency, but that's probably not an option anymore

- Some guys they could have pursued with a full MLE might be as good as Bledsoe next year at half the price

- Improved pg defense if Bledsoe is 100% is where this could really pay off - they've been terrible there

- This trade will look really good if they can get somehow get more veteran help, but it would cost prospects

- It might be worth starting Mirza (no I'm not joking) to aim for an elite offense; the defensive guys aren't working out anyway

- Either they plan to trade Jabari + contracts for more help (good) or they think they can unload salary to retain him (idiots)

- Lottery protection on the pick is so teats

- Probably a good trade, but not the slam dunk that some people think - there is some downside

- Please let there be MTC

- Despite some reservations, I can't complain and I respect the move

Jennings for Knight and Middleton was better

In an of itself that's tertiary, but just the general idea that they could miss Moose more than they think is on point.

IMO:

Bledsoe
Brogdon
Middleton
Giannis
Henson

give Bledsoe or Middleton a quick hook for Snell so that they can come in later on to run the 2nd unit.

We already missed him against Charlotte and Detroit. He was no stopper but he was at least capable of putting a body on the Howards and Drummonds of the league and grabbing a rebound.

Snell should stay in the starting lineup. He's only usefull if someone else creates for him, but used correctly he's deadly. Brogdon probably should come from the bench but still get 30 minutes at multiple positions (PG/SG/SF).

I kind of think we will see another trade sometime this season. We will definitely need to replace Moose. If we went with Henson and Maker the rest of the season, we won't win 45 games.

Horst both didn't overpay and closed the deal.

Gotta hand it to him. Bodes well for the future.

Nice protection. There's downside if Giannis gets hurt next year or final year of his deal, but I don't think they get this done without some risk involved.
