These protections do mean that we can't really trade any first-rounders now...

God Dammit, Dwight would've been perfect on this team.

When is the last time 90%+ of the board agreed on something?

Agreed that it should be Brogdon getting 32 minutes a night off the bench as a combo guard. Basically, all 96 guard minutes should be divided equally among Bledsoe, Brogdon and Snell.

In an of itself that's tertiary, but just the general idea that they could miss Moose more than they think is on point.

The Monroe of last season has definitely been missed already this season. He has, of course, been out the last several games and he wasn't himself when he did play.

It is a little funny to think about since a center starved team in the Bucks traded a center that gave them a very useful 23 MPG last season to a team that has an overabundance of centers on their roster in Chandler, Len, Alan Williams, and sometimes Bender or even Chriss.

It is too bad the Bucks couldn't get Len back in the deal somehow.

I believe you can put in contingencies based on when the pick conveys. Could get pretty complicated but fortunately we a cap expert in charge.

Plus add Bledsoes injury risk, lack of 3pt shooting, ball dominance, I'm not jumping up for joy. In that he can take minutes from Delly is obviously the big plus in this. But if the Bucks don't make another move for a center, Thon has to stop playing like hot garbage and Henson has to really become steadying force (gulp). Bucks are currently last in rebounding rate (weren't good last year either - 26th), they really will need to improve as a team there.

Delly will stay play a lot, most likely not at the end of games, although I could see Kidd go Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe, Brogdon, and Delly at the end of some games...lots of ball handling there.

Delly minutes will have to come down. He's at 21 mpg now, I can see him getting 12 mpg

Something like a 9 man rotation:

G Brogdon 32 / Bledsoe 10 / Delly 6
G Snell 18 / Bledsoe 24 / Delly 6
F Middleton 36 / Snell 12
F Giannis 30 / Telly 18
C Henson 25 / Thon 15 / Giannis 8

We still can, would just require a complicated series of provisions.

The chances us sweating that 2021 unprotected pick is unreasonably high.

Should be able to still trade the picks protected for the remaining value that the Suns can't receive that year.

Bledsoe's life is going to be so much easier now that he can play with Giannis, and vice versa.

Hopefully Bledsoe's defense makes a resurgence too.

He has all the incentive in the world to go all out as well -- we know Rich Paul is gunning for a contract extension, but Bledsoe has to earn it.

Delly, to me, is no longer even an NBA player. With Bledsoe in tow, Delly should be playing a max of 0 minutes.

if your center is one of the worst rebounders in the league and your going to rely on a team effort then Bledsoe is a good get in that regard as well.

Giannis is guaranteed to be here through the 2020-21 season. I'd be slightly more concerned if it had the chance to be a 2022 unprotected 1st, but it doesn't so...

No way this could backfire

Are you being sarcastic? I could see a scenario where two years from now we lose midds and bledsoe and have a anchor of a contract jabari preventing us from being a contender. Wish it was less protected the next two years. Too much crazy stuff can happen in 3 years and it could become a Brooklyn type pick.

And for the record: BuckPack was not wrong for saying this was a super long shot.

Rather he said the Bucks would not trade a core player -- and we didn't.

The Suns just royally screwed up Bledsoe's value beyond comprehension. Horst to his great credit negotiated hard and won.

Denver probably wasn't even offering Mudiay much less a first round pick in addition. Phoenix needed to take that deal at the draft.
