Next year, I️ am hoping the NBA gets rid of the conferences. At that point, we are back in the playoffs and everyone will stop picking on the Suns.

They are just SO excited to have a Rich Paul client on their team. And they are looking forward to early shot clock threes that clank off the back of the rim. Oh also Aaron Rodgers is injured.

Maybe it has something to do with one of their mods telling their members to come read this thread for "entertainment".

Yeah, because everyone in the league doesn't already hate us.. We're a PR nightmare right now, why would we do that?
We're not getting good players via free agency anyways. Only thru trades or the draft and I doubt the other GMs would have been sad if we had shown the Paul's and Bledsoe's of the league that it's not the inmates running the asylum.
Jesus Christ, I hope you're trolling.
Nevermind your asinine comment on the inmates running the asylum, the fact that you rather teach one player, who you won't reap any benefit of "teaching him his less", for the sake of ruining our future is completely insane. He's not in our future, regardless of if we keep him or trade him. Why would teaching him a lesson be beneficial to us? And to use the rational of "meh, not like we're getting anyone in FA anyway" is like saying "I'm going to go off on my boss and then quit because eh, who cares, not like I want to work again anyway".
It's one thing to want our GM to be replaced, I can understand that, but ugh.

I'm not unhappy with the trade. If we don't buyout Monroe I think we can use him because we needed a center like him for a long time. This trade is OK for me if Monroe takes Chandler's minutes.

Bled is not that good really and there are his knees which break down every second year. A 1st and a big expiring is not a bad return for a non-passing-too-often, non-shooting-that-well, formerly good defender PG with an atittude and Rich Paul as an agent. Besides Monroe can play even if he's not a good defender. Chandler isn't one either.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas & Discussion Pt. 3
I would have rather traded for Mudiay and a 1st from Denver (was that even an option???)
I would have rather traded for Okafor and the right to swap picks.
...But I'll take it. Trading Bledsoe for nothing would be better then giving him another big contract with those knees. Like it or not, we got fair value for him. With Rich Paul calling the shots, teams knew Bledsoe could be just a 2 year rental...maybe less if he blows out a knee again. What's that worth to a contender? An expiring and a mid first. That's exactly what we got.
Should have traded him long ago.
McDonough didn't pull any magic rabbit out of his hat on this one, but Monroe and our treasure chest of picks gives us options going forward. AND the team no longer has this distraction hanging over our heads.

It's not about teaching Bledsoe a lesson it's about setting an example.
Dragic wants out, gets traded into a nice situation,
Thomas wants out, gets traded into a nice situation,
Bledsoe wants out, gets traded into a nice situation.
Well what would you do if you were Booker and we still look like we're not going anywhere in a few years? Exactly, you ask for a trade cause, you know, they'll make it happen and you'll come out ahead.
And regarding your "asinine" statement, last time I checked a contract goes two ways. You agree to conditions no one forced you to, so stand by it. But maybe I'm just too old school thinking that you should honor your contract you agreed to with your employer.
And last, no need for insults. You can just disagree with me

Heh heh heh
I guess I like the trade as the Bucks need a guard that can penetrate. Not watching Pheonix the last few years, can he do that?
I also like Monroe and we will miss him in the playoffs when things slow down (he did well for us last year). Moose is a team player and is an excellent passer (not Jokic level but really good). I know he doesn't have a future for the team, but I hope he gets to play.
What I'm not thrilled about is his knees and Rich Paul. I'm thinking he will not be re-signed by the Bucks in two years.
But, who knows.
A rough stretch for our sibling team. Hope things turn around soon. It sucks when you are used to success and have to deal with crap management and subpar seasons.

Eric Bledsoe IMO is the most overrated PG. He cannot shoot, injured half the time, and hasn't done anything special!
You can have him.
You can have him.

All these Bucks fans gloating now were also once gloating about MCW couple years ago and we all know how that worked out.

This was why your comment was asinine. Borderline racial there. Not sure if you changed prison to asylum but the sentiment remains.
As for insults, I don't believe I sent one. If I did, I didn't mean it as a personal attack other than I think your logic is completely misplaced, in that we got what we could for players wanting to leave. Who cares if we put them in a 'good' position, it puts us in the best position we could be in. I don't think we traded him there to be nice, it was the best offered, as McD said he would do. Not put him on his preferred team. It just happened that way in this case.

It is definitely an upgrade over Chandler.

I get that our return wasn't great but man we should've found a way to at least dump Tyson or Knight in this trade and got back a contract that's either another expiring or shorter.

Who knows, maybe Jay Triano sees something in Monroe that he had when he coached Bosh.
