I'd want that 2018 pick...most likely a top 5...combine that with our top 5 and we walk away with 2 of the following 5.

Bagley
Doncic
Ayton
Porter
Bamba

Put two of those guys with Prince and Collins and now we got something big brewing in the ATL.

I know I know Suns wouldn't but they actually should I think. They have stockpiled picks for the last 5 years..they need to make a move soon. Dennis fits their style with the fast paced Josh Jackson and the aforementioned Booker. Not to mention Bender, Chriss and others.

PHX, as I've said before, is low-key dysfunctional and much worse than PHI in terms of tank-bad teams. Excluding Booker, I don't want any of their picks from the past 6-7 years or w/e they've been picking lotto.

Agree, yet another top-5 pick shouldn't be what they're aiming for. It's time to turn all that junk into winning players before their mythical "value" runs out. They're about to Okafor themselves. I mean, what's Len's value at this point? In a year, we'll be asking the same about Bender and Chriss (aka Noah Vonleh 2.0).

Yeah...it would be worth it to overpay for the chance to grab that pick. You can only stockpile so much young talent before you have to pool some of it for an actual contributor.

Dennis + Collins...still wouldn't be enough, would it? Dang it!!

How MJ, LeBron match up ahead of King James' 1,072nd career game

On Tuesday night, LeBron James will hit the court for his 1,072nd regular-season game.

Why is that noteworthy? Because Michael Jordan played in 1,072 regular-season games in his 15-season career, and in case you've been under a rock or off Twitter for the past decade, the NBA world has been known to compare the two legends' careers.

How does the duo stack up as King James prepares to match His Airness?

Those stats are amazingly close. Honestly, Lebron's finals record isn't that big of a deal to me. Lebron definitely faced tougher competition in the finals than Jordan. That 2004 Bronze medal is embarrassing though.

Lebron's Finals opponents were indeed tougher. Spurs and Warriors are amongst the greatest dynasties of all time.

I will say that Jordan faced greater competition in the East each postseason.

From the great Celtics of the 80s, the Bad Boy Pistons, young Shaq & Penny and the 90s Knickerbockers.

Wrong. And, even if you're right, compare the competition Jordan faced in the EC playoffs to what James has faced.

Also, poo-pooing 6-0? I don't even know who you are anymore, macd. Jus' saying stuff. Is the world flat, macd? #Stay'Woke

I never poo-poo'd 6-0. All I said is that Lebron's finals were tougher. Sure Jordan faced more resistance in than east but still had by far the most talent on those Bulls teams.

I don't really like either of them to be honest. They both suffer from huge egos and even though their greatness is not in dispute it was aided by a crooked NBA.

Seems like Celtics will always be a rumored destination for every trade target or soon to be Free Agent.

Man, I wish Bud had simply left Tavares overseas and we still retained his draft rights.

I seriously have concerns when it comes to Budenholzer developing Center prospects.

NOTE: The 2018 draft is filled with Center prospects.

Walter was way too immobile to do much in the league circa 2017 and beyond. Wish him well overseas.

On a total other note, one thing that frustrates me is this report that PHX will "explore trade options" before discussing buyout with Monroe. If everybody knows you'll likely release him, why would anyone trade you anything of value?

Why is that even a report?

I don't know but is it because not every team would be able to sign him? If a team wants him and can work a trade that prevents other teams from swooping in and signing him after release.

Or a team might try to keep him away from a specific team, also.

If...Boston intends to use their Disabled Player Exception on Monroe following a buyout, might another EC team jump in to prevent that from happening?

I guess.

Oh and, since I know y'all love early-season snap judgments, how 'bout the 'Zards losing to that awful DAL team last night? Man them dudes do a lot of talkin' for a team that constantly produces middling, head-scratching results.

I mean, sure we lost the last few years but no one considered any of our guys potential MVP-types. And no one argued that we had one of the best backcourts in the league or w/e. SMH

Yeah, I picked WAS to win the East this year and they are, per usual, wetting the bed early. They turned their season around late last year.

But that team really should be dominating the league right now.

It might be time to move Beal for a big man and jettison Gortat while he still has value.

I don't know what they need, I just know they need something. Certainly need frontcourt upgrades. I think Wall's brash form of "leadership" does not serve them well.

The definition of insanity right. How many years are they going to hook their wagon to Wall/Beal/Gortat. It's sad. They went from Nene to Markieff. 2 of the most over rated PFs in the league. They should have been going full steam for Millsap.

I agree though. Trade Beal and Gortat and Markieff if they can.
