I don't know why we would want to buyout Monroe.

Ryan McD got a shoutout on the GB:

"How does Ryan McDonough still have a job?"

Jesus Christ, I hope you're trolling.

Nevermind your asinine comment on the inmates running the asylum, the fact that you rather teach one player, who you won't reap any benefit of "teaching him his less", for the sake of ruining our future is completely insane. He's not in our future, regardless of if we keep him or trade him. Why would teaching him a lesson be beneficial to us? And to use the rational of "meh, not like we're getting anyone in FA anyway" is like saying "I'm going to go off on my boss and then quit because eh, who cares, not like I want to work again anyway".

It's one thing to want our GM to be replaced, I can understand that, but ugh. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It's not about teaching Bledsoe a lesson it's about setting an example.
Dragic wants out, gets traded into a nice situation,
Thomas wants out, gets traded into a nice situation,
Bledsoe wants out, gets traded into a nice situation.

Well what would you do if you were Booker and we still look like we're not going anywhere in a few years? Exactly, you ask for a trade cause, you know, they'll make it happen and you'll come out ahead.
And regarding your "asinine" statement, last time I checked a contract goes two ways. You agree to conditions no one forced you to, so stand by it. But maybe I'm just too old school thinking that you should honor your contract you agreed to with your employer.

And last, no need for insults. You can just disagree with me

Here's a better idea. Why not build up a program where guys like booker not only want to stay but want to recruit others to join them. Thats a much better plan than making an example out of bledsoe or anyone else.

Amazing. Half the world thinks we are abusing our players, the other half thinks we should make examples of them.

Saw this as a coming inevitability, but still disappointing

IDK, Monroe's contract and all these picks in hand could turn into something sweet in the next couple months, plus Buck pick has a puncher's chance of turning into some very good. Holding onto some hope

Maybe it has something to do with one of their mods telling their members to come read this thread for "entertainment".

Read the Suns board. More entertaining. Most are upset they didn't get two #1's or a real player.

Thanks. I just responded to it.
As a former mod on another board, that behavior is something I'd only expect from a regular user. If a mod promoted going to another board to be entertained at the expense of other fans' frustrations, they would have been reprimanded. The purpose of being a mod is to keep a board under control.

Considering he just got a multi year contract extension in July, I doubt he's going anywhere any time soon.

I can't find the exact amount of money it would take to make McD go away but it can't be all that much in the grand sceme of things. Especially considering the suns payroll this year is right about the league minimum and plus insurance is paying most of knights deal this year and maybe big sauces too depending when he comes back. Sarver can certainly change directions this summer if he wants to.

This was why your comment was asinine. Borderline racial there. Not sure if you changed prison to asylum but the sentiment remains.

Dude, keep that political correctness bull off the board.

AS for the trade, I'll take it. We need a big, doesn't hurt to run him the rest of the year.

Some of you guys have to realize... this is not just Suns and Bledsoe... this is Suns, Bledsoe and Klutch Sports, whose been involved in causing ruckus behind the scenes to hostage teams into paying their clients big money, bigger than what they deserve.

McD clearly was disappointed at Bledsoe for taking the wrong advice... thats a direct jab at Rich Paul.

I realize stragglers will go and troll but to be led by a mod (intentional or not) is embarrassing.

I skimmed through their thread but it does me no good because it's mostly about Bledsoe. I prefer digging up what I can about our side of the deal.

I'm starting to accept that this move could actually help right the ship a bit. Whether or not he's happy about the move, Monroe will probably like playing with Chandler (who I suspect will see fewer minutes).
If he has a good first month with us, I would focus on moving Chandler and then let Len walk. Try to re-sign Monroe at a reasonable deal (meaning not 20 mil per).

God I hope not. As the pistons learned playing monroe alongside another traditional big is not a recipe for success.

Monroe is hurt so they have a little time to figure it out. They could simply sit chandler but my guess is one of monroe or chandler is traded over the next two weeks. I'm sure they would gladly give chandler to any team willing to give them an expiring back.

I'm not a big fan of monroes game in general but I'm not totally opposed to kicking the tires on him to see if they would want to give him a contract this summer. Theoretically he's not the worst fit next to bender. But if any team is willing to trade a pick and an expiring for him I'd be all for it or they could go the other direction and package him with a pick for someone with multuple years left on their contract.

Have fun.
