Giannis-Bledsoe-Middleton-Brogdon is a droolworthy top 4. Not just in raw talent but the fact that Bledsoe lets Middleton play more as a #3 where he could be a killer. Better and more open shots, less tough shot express.

That said there will be adjustment period for sure. Gotta be patient. It may not always be pretty for the first few weeks.

Thoughts:

1) I don't think Monroe was the best fit for the Bucks, but he was a pro's pro while here and I hope he can get on a good team.

2) Bledsoe makes the team better just for taking minutes away from Delly.

3) As others have said, the Bucks still need a big man. Any of KOQ, RoLo, Capela, or Noel would be great. It'd be nice if we could send Thon and something to get one of these guys.

4) I still think this team's upside (with or without Bledsoe) will be limited because of Kidd.

Monroe should have went back in the 2016 draft, for Boston's mid and late 1st rnd pick

A terrible 1990s Herb Kohl Move.

I see this team getting smaller and smaller & relying on a guard all the time if they don't get horst up outta here soon.

Moving Monroe is great & all but when u have a defensive, passfirst tall athletic(he'd love them as a jumpshooter too) wing at the pointguard type of coach in J kidd, your only slowing down progress in bringing in a guy like Bledsoe.

He is a smaller semi-healthier version of Brandon knight.

If they start him over Brogdon, they're screwed. He needs to be no more than an energy player off the bench to Brogdon.

If they can get Cleveland's 1st round to up Bledsoe, they should go for it.

Since they'll be stopping in San Antonio on Friday, let's unload Delly for Danny Green.

Too many point guards/small players on this team, is taking them back to a bad era in time.

All this small ball talk.

Look, what are they gonna do when teams like Minnesota get their ish together and add another big man like a cousins to their roster?

If the warriors or cavs added a d howard to the roster on a vet minimum?

All that small ball talk is gonna be outta the window soon.

Why do u think Miami couldn't win all four finals in a row?

Because the Spurs & Mavs had legit active bigs.

Lakers 3 peat.

They had Shaq.

Only reason why the warriors & cavs keep going back to the finals is because all of the top bigs in the league are not on championship teams yet.

The bucks are not gonna do it with small ball.

Never have never will.

Ask Kareem.

What they need is more versitale bigs/top class rim protectors. That and an occasional jumpshooter/big wing player who can pass when needed and shoot when open.

And meddle not with small ball /small guards and undersized one way bigs/ the thought concepts their of.

I love you. Don't ever change.

Middleton has been the 3 since Jabari blew out his knee.....I personally don't think that 4 is nearly as scary as you do.....once Bledsoe becomes ingrained I think Middleton needs to be the 6th man

Apologies if already addressed, but does this mean we can't trade our 1st rounder until the protections wear off and/or it is sent to Phoenix? It would be annoying if we were handicapped and couldn't trade a first until 2020.

Most of the posters on this board will now get what they wanted-a point guard who can't shoot, needs the ball in his hands (screw Giannis) and has been on a team where he makes no one better (they've been doing better since he left). Then, you take away the one physical presence underneath and you have the makings of a lose-lose trade (much like the B. Knight trade).

Monroe was severely underrated. His PER last year was better than Bledsoe, but the proponents here, who usually pray at the throne of advanced stats, don't want to bring that up.

Having said all this, it looked like Monroe wasn't going to be back next year anyway. I predict that Bledsoe will be gone before his contract is up and most of his posse here will be advocating it and going on to the next big tease.

This is an awesome read, not surprised on what his source said about Kidd

What does this say for those of us trapped at work?

Talks a lot about the risks of Bledsoe, has a total of 1/2 meniscus in both knees......but the interesting part is his source said firing Kidd has never even been brought up amongst the ownership group and not on the table

If by "interesting" you mean "mind-numbingly stupid", I agree, that is "interesting".

#3 as in 3rd option. I think it's gonna help a lot having an explosive PG, letting Middleton be more of an in the flow of the offense killer.

I'm just happy most of you guys are happy, I don't really know Bledsoe that well but I'm excited to see him in a Bucks jersey.

Still keeping my pitchfork for Kidd if that's ok.

We won the Knight trade in a landslide. We didn't pay him.

We neededd a PG who can run the PnR with Giannis. If you haven't noticed, the half court offense of Giannis and Mid back down is terrible. Giannis shouldn't be dribbling around the perimeter (ball in his hands), he should be slashing and dominating in the paint. the whole thing should revolve around a Giannis/Bledsoe PnR.

Cool, just need a second and third big and a coach and we have a team

PER is not an advanced stat that people generally use because of it's inherent flaws. He can't shoot great but you traded him for a non-floor spacer and he has the ability to break his man down/get into the lane which is a skill that this team needs. This team needs creators and guys with individual talent. We'll see if it's enough to help us win.

The timing of this trade is suspicious ...

When J.Kidd's flaws where all over the news ... boom ... Bledsoe.

The trade suprisingly is good. Most here were talking about Monroe + 1st for Bledsoe.

I am excited and can't wait to see Bledsoe's game condition.

Bucks probably have secured to advance to the 2nd round at the playoffs ... BUT MOST IMPORTANT ...

J. Kidd concreted his job.

There's no way Bledsoe's "right meniscus" was "removed altogether". That makes no sense.

Or the Celtics for more than the minimum. Put him with some good coaching and he will be even better.

You're right, we didn't pay him and the team tanked after he left.

Well if he doesn't fit or his meniscus doesn't hold up no big deal, he's actually cheaper than Monroe and expires next year. Worth a try. Well it is a big deal but not something we can't survive if it happens, plus if it's only a fit problem you can always trade him.

Main thing is, it looks like we have an actual GM and we're making efforts in the right direction.

If that's your takeaway, I can't help you. He was a terrible player and now he's an injured terrible player making $14,000,000. I'm so sad we let that opportunity get away.
