How does that prove he can't be a defensive anchor?

no one is arguing KP is a defensive anchor (albeit a good defender) but since Noels seemingly lack of versatility and talent in other facets of the game people view his defense to be more dominant than it actually is... as opposed to KP who is an excellent offensive player and equivalent defender, noone argues he is an anchor , almost like a reverse halo effect

Noel can guard on the perimeter and protect the rim. He's got solid post defense and is active in deflections.

I'm not taking away from KP's rim protection. It's tremendous and one of the primary reasons I wanted him at C.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on KP being at the same level defensively overall as Noel though.

You still need outside scoring.

Lol he is gonna turn into a big fat pumpkin in 2 years and you lost an expiring + first round pick contributing to Giannis inevitable path to Mecca

Obviously didn't want him here, but hurts the Giannis 2021 dream a little. Good deal for the bucks, especially at that price.

Not necessarily.

Against Golden State, I would roll with Giannis at center, forcing the Warriors to use Green on him.

Eric Bledsoe vs Stephen Curry
Malcolm Brogdon vs Klay Thompson
Khris Middleton vs Andre Iguodala
Jabari Parker vs Kevin Durant
Giannis Antetokounmpo vs Draymond Green

No rim protection, while all those five are elite at goink at the rim

Every kneejerk move Bucks are making giving up their assets is taking us closer to the dream

Now here is to hoping they sign Bledsö to a 5 year extension

Never happening.

i mean, his brother's not an nba player. the knicks gave him a shot, and now he's back to playing in greece.

No way. Regardless of how well the Knicks are doing the chances of the Knicks ending up with a lottery pick is greater than the Bucks.
And Kanter is better than Monroe IMHO.

Doesn't Giannis protect the rim? Also, both sides here can either go to the rim and shoot from the outside.

Iguodala might be too old at this point too.

If the Knicks actually had a shot at landing him but passed because he doesn't offer rim protection (he's averaging I think 1.5bpg) then Mills and Perry should be fired. Porzingis and Giannis would be a devastating pairing.

This would be a " get the player, worry about the rest later " scenario. No sane GM is passing on Giannis if they had a chance to sign him.

As far as I know, 2nd round picks very often get 4 year contracts (although I might be wrong...? - if I am, I'd love to see the numbers showing contract breakdowns). If a team drafts someone like Jokic, they don't exercise the team option on the 4th year so he can become a RFA. I don't remember a 2nd round player having his 4th year opted into and becoming a UFA. The same thing happened with Parsons and the Rockets - HOU opted not to bring him back, but then declined to match the Mavs' deal.

Dotson will be a RFA at the end of his 3 year contract, but aside from him, are there others? The key is that 2nd rounders have less guaranteed money tied to them, but the team can still have the player be a RFA. That's huge. Even though RFA is a year earlier, the cheap cap hit for the first contract is awesome.

Pretty sure teams can offer whatever. 2 year , 3 year 4 year. Options etc.

Some guys drafted in the 2nd round have 2 year deals. All depends what is offered. Dotson got a 3 year offer. Some guys get 2 years.

He was never a free agent nor at the trade block. How we could've signed him?!
