Cantu IMO was a flash in the pan. I don't see him equalling his 25 HR career high. Also, his range is atrocious even at 2B and we'd be better of bringing in Adams, he has more range and if he worked at it a little bit, a better bat.

Mcdonald is fine with me...

And Cantu is not speedy by any means, he has 2 stolen bases in his career. We got speed (Reed, Rios, Vernon) but it seems like Gibbons is not interested in playing that kind of baseball...even when the team can't score for sh-t.

I'd like to get a better SS than Clayton in the off-season, but I'm surprised with Mcdonald's bat even though he's an all-defense kind of guy.

How bout we trade Glaus for some prospects from some team. Then pick up Ensberg to play 3B.

He has shown good power numbers in the past. Or then again he might never be that good again.

lol, thats the most blatently clear way of putting it.

Cantu was indeed a 1 trick pony, i cant see him do that again, he hasnt even been dominating Triple-A when he was down their...

when it comes to ensberg, he has power but is way too darn inconsistant, one good year can inflate value and seeing that he has power helps it baloon, he is not worth it

:nonono:

I never thought I'd see someone compare Wells to Ensberg. I hope you're not a Jays fan...

Wells is averaging almost 30 HRs, 40 doubles and 100+ RBIs in the last 5 seasons, what's inconsistent about that?

Not to mention he's a 3 times gold glover and a franchise player, but I guess we're just talking hitting here...

Ensberg will definitly never match his 2005 season again, we don't need him.
