He was a huge reason for our success. Hoping Bledsoe opens up the offense for everyone. There should be a ton of open looks for Snell and Middleton now. Just need to find a defensive minded center that can rebound the ball. I'd package Jabari, Delly, Henson, Telly or Vaughn in some combination for whatever big we could get.

For whatever reason he was awful this year, dont think we will miss him on the court one bit.

We know why. He was hurt.

Hes been awful based off of 5 games where he was likely hurting? Jumping the gun a bit.

Nvm, he's bound to fail

I thought Horst acquitted himself pretty well in that interview all things considered.

Me too. There's always a bit of cognitive dissonance here at RealGM when, amid all the FedEx jokes and "I could do that job better than that guy" adolescent bravado you take a minute and notice how carefully a guy like Horst does his job, how there's a process in place, and how multiple outcomes and scenarios are assessed, as they are in any business.

The advantage us pretend RealGMs have is we can just spitball ideas without putting them in context and then puff our chests out about what good ideas we have. Nice to see Horst approaches personnel moves more professionally than that. He looks to be the real thing in more ways than one.

He’s certainly learned how to give a politically correct answer which is a skill in and of itself.

we have one.

his name is giannis antetokounmpo.

The problem with Giannis being our center is that he fouls at an exceptionally high rate when he plays center. Over the past two seasons, Giannis fouls at a rate of 6.59 fouls per 36 minutes when playing center.

I'd be curious to see sample size and see if there was any decline over that 2 year period. That info means little to me without knowing those things.

It would be nice to just have a competent center that can preform at an average to above average at the position, allowing Giannis to do his thing.

I agree with the fouls as an issue with Giannis playing 30+ mins at 5. We clearly need someone to pair with him to play a chunk of the mins or most of them vs brute Cs. He should still be getting a good 10-15 mins a game at the 5 for a while and see how it goes. Also, the fouls issue should slowly go away as he becomes more and more of a known superstar. You saw it last night, after he got his 5th he got away with a few blatant fouls. That treatment will only increase

Real Madrid signed Edy Tavares, or he'd have made sense.

Kind of sad that this is by far the best Bucks Bogut highlight, but it does capture that special blend of fun and wit with a pinch of aggrievement that the big Aussie brought to our sad Bucks fan lives.

But with first Bogut and now Bledsoe, I guess I can cross "attend the Przybilla jersey retirement ceremony" off my bucket list.

Still think that Montrezl Harrell is getting crazy under-utilized in LA and would be a great buy-low option for a team that needs a gritty defender and rebounder.

Dekker too at a spot we need a backup. He was more or less a competent rotation backup last year for a 50+ win team. Of course our need for this backup greatly reduces once Jabari is back though. But there's a player in there someone is going to get for nothing.

It will be interesting to track the two sides of the court with the addition of Bledsoe. Currently, the Bucks are sporting a 108.8 O Rating, 10th best in the league, and that's without Monroe/Jabari contributing really anything, and Middleton shooting 27% from 3. Granted, Brogdon is shooting 49% from 3 and Snell is shooting 54% from 3, so that will all normalize. The D is 29th in the league. Will better on ball pressure from Bledsoe significantly change the dynamic of the defense? Or will the lack of interior D and rebounding make it irrelevant?

Got to give Bolomboy a look at least. We need literally zero usage out of our center offensively.

We need to look long and hard at a few centers my top 3 targets would be:

Nerlens

Dedmon

O'Quinn

I like all 3 of those guys for the bucks especially Noel. Only problem is since he signed his qualifying offer, whatever team that trades for him will not retain any bird rights to re-sign him next year. Makes it unlikely he re-signs with the bucks

Is it possible to sign Monroe if he is bought out?

I think this was changed 2-3 years ago and they can no longer sign back to the team that traded them.

Be curious to hear your thoughts on how the D is different now from 14 - 15 when Bucks were 4th in D eff.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”
