you can still switch most everyone with that group.

why on earth do you leave your worst defender - monk - on the floor for a do or die defensive play?

Cliff has always done dumb **** like this his entire tenure going back to the Jefferson days where he'd have Al over Biz on floor for crucial defensive possessions.

Agree completely. Leaving Monk out there and then having Marvin as the tallest defender against what likely is going to be a shot from 7'3 Porzingis is unexcusable. I guess Cliff was thinking we'd get the stop and he was going to run it with Monk and Kemba instead of calling the time out. Just too much trickery imo. We have the better team, no reason to result to amateur underdog tactics.

The announcers said it's so the Hornets could switch on every screen but that's wrong. You can't have Dwight in there because if he gets the rebound they'll foul him and then have another chance to beat us. His defense isn't nearly good enough to offset giving them multiple cracks at it

I don't think they would foul Dwight on purpose. He was 3/3 from the line and we were missing a lot of shots. I don't think many teams in the league would foul there up 1 with 11 seconds left just so they could have the last shot.

I definitely was confused by that defensive lineup. Especially so because the most obvious action was putting Zinger in the PNR. If it's at all possible that Monk ends up guarding Zinger on a game deciding play when you have the opportunity to pick your lineup, that's on the coaching staff.

I missed this game as well, but wouldn't Zeller be the obvious choice for Porzingis defensively?

Not saying he could shut him down or anything, but he's the closest we would have to his size and athleticism.

Oh there's no doubt Cody should have been in there... that's just pure idiocy not to have a big man against a 7'3 guy... heck they could have posted Porzingis up.... gotten an o-reb.... or gotten a switch of Monk on porzingis :banghead:

Lots of ways for that to have ended poorly. Monk has absolutely no place in that lineup for a defensive play...

I'd have gone with Kemba, MCW, Bacon, Marv, and Cody... like frank and monk might as well go ahead and go back to the locker room and only come out if we go to OT.

For those of you who failed to witness the epic Porzingis flop fest. The flop at around the 40 second mark is real beauty.
