Rather have a coaching team that overworks its players than a coaching team that allows them to be lazy.

These things hardly ever end well. Ego clashes with management, coaches, and players. Happened with the Bulls, the Lakers, Heat.

It's going to happen to the Warriors too. You watch.

I think you are forgetting how that negatively impacted us during the Zo era. Granted the Knicks loved that we had that overworked mentality

Old players don't want to accept they're old. The right way to adjust is to ship those old guys out but that wasn't possible lol.

Overworking is not the ideal, but it's better than underworking. That's all I'm saying. The Heat is notoriously demanding when it comes to training, and it more often than not produces results for the better.

I think what stands out to me is that at the time, many of us commended the team on how well they treated their veteran team. They got a good amount of rest games, it seemed, or maybe I'm just remembering Wade's unreliable knees, and Bosh's annual holiday. The team did look worn down at the end of it, but I thought it was just unavoidable wear and tear from the run. I didn't think it would be from their out of game schedule. Didn't they skip a good number of practices?

Anyway, sounds like complaints made about Riley by some players too. I think Wade and Shaq said as much. It makes sense that Spo's a disciple of that. I wonder what they would've thought of Thibs. Might have had a complete mutiny with the way he runs guys into the ground.
