Deferred too much?? He still has had the ball the most and taken the most the shots. What exactly is he differing? He needs the ball more? He needs more shots? The games the thunder have won he has actually shot less and distributed more. The key number for the team to win is his assist and turnovers. Assists up Turnovers down Thunder win more. Jacking up crazy shots isn't the answer.
Melo last night was 10/20 and 6/10 from the three point line if you watch the game he needed to be more involved not less. He clearly had the hot hand last night and Russ should have deferred more to him. But instead Russ tried to be the hero and failed. Until Russ learns what needs to be done on a nightly basis to win with other top end talent then the thunder will continue to get the same results. And everyone will blame the coach - Melo - PG - Roberson. But it all comes down to Russ
So the guy who needs to learn to win is literally the guy who's won the most? Melo is at this point the most one dimensional of the 3. He is in essence a glorified role player ideally and should be taking fewer shots. Russ has been poor by any standard. But Melo needs to be at most 3rd in pecking order offensively for.them to have any shot.
Nah, this can't be a serious post. Melo is the problem for the offense and Russ is deferring to him?
Melo is a one dimensional player? Ok, cool. His gift is scoring? Ok, cool again. Why are we complaining about him shooting, EFFICIENTLY, then saying he needs to shoot less for the LESS EFFICIENT to shoot more? This was a dumb post
