Replacing Billy D... But with who?

All this talk about replacing Billy D. Who would you guys like to see take his job? Be kinda realistic about it

Phil Jackson is currently out of work.

That would ensure cap space next year and make sure Melo is gone along with George.

George is going to be gone no matter what. I would like for Melo to be gone. Donovan isn't going anywhere. This team might not play as many playoff games as last year's team did. I still expect them to make the playoffs, but I'm not sure they are more then the 6th seed and they could be the 8th. A sweep from GS, Houston or SA is very possible. Minny would have a decent chance at sweeping them also. The best thing they could do is send Melo to Houston for Anderson and Ariza. That would get them some better fitting pieces and help knock Houston down by giving them someone who manages to make every team they are on fail to play to expectations.

Not the best option but I would consider David Blatt. He wants to coach in the NBA again and he understand the game. Maybe he lacks leadership though.

I'd prefer a Pop disciple. Messina would be perfect.

This is kinda a redundant exercise. It would either be Griffin or Cheeks.

Did Hell freeze over?

Just let Cheeks take over if we really feel a change is necessary. I doubt Presti spends more money on a coach after having to pay out the rest of Donovan’s contract.

Maybe Russ will listen to him.

Actually, let’s give Darko a shot.

Actually was DMing with RK from welcome to loud city and he likes Darko R. The guy who used to coach the d league team.

I'm still fine with Donovan. But if we were going to go for somebody, I'd go for Jerry Stackhouse. Enough name to commandeer some respect, has been doing really well with the Raptors D-League team, runs good stuff.

Messina is the most likely. Barry is worth considering but you'd have to talk a lot to assess. Steve Nash should be on list, though he probably declines unless you offer $8-12 mil / yr.
