Good win. Hope Adams gets better soon.

what a fantastic game from paul george. both ends of the ball. i was worried about george's defense after his lull last year in indiana but he's been up to the task this season and now it looks like he might be humming on offense as well.

baron finally got some much needed free throw attempts. seeing him get stuffed at the rim by yogi ferrell brings up the injury concerns. his lift just doesn't look right.

i thought huestis looked comfortable playing against the dallas d-league team.

Hope Russ can start hitting shots more consistently. Until he can string together multiple consistently good performances, I’ll continue to be concerned.

PG13 starting to feel it. We need him to play like that.

Russ had a nice second half (after a terrible first one)

Grant keeps improving

Abrines still a disappointment so far. But he played 14 minutes and only took one 3, so I guess the players should try to find more looks for him.

Dakari with the foul troubles but doesn't really look out of place at NBA level.

I was impressed with Jerami. Bigger role than he's used to and I think he delivered on both ends. He copped multiple head knocks too. Proud of his effort.

This is the PG ride.

We can blame Russell's first half on the shoes, clearly.

Still zero structure and overall got the win on talent alone. But that's not going to change.

Big win considering Adams and Melo are out. 13 games in, some form of chemistry is starting to form as George is getting real comfortable. Lets hope it continues. Go Thunder!

Nice win all things considered; early season struggles, missing two starters, etc. But this is what good teams do, beat down inferior teams regardless of the circumstances.

I know the Mavs suck, but we still won semi-convincingly without Adams or Carmelo. I'm still not sure if we'd just be better with the "OK3" being Russ, PG13, and Adams and never playing Carmelo.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

It’s a fair question.

It all depends on what Melo role is. If he plays like last game (more defense, touching less the ball and taking only good shots) then we are still better with him on the floor.

Agreed. If he plays classic Melo ball? Different answer.

I’m happy we won but I’m not convinced any of this teams issues are resolved. PG is capable of being the player we thought he could be when we got him. That much is clear after two games.

It’s a fair question.

With that logic "not playing Adams" would be fair question too.
Adams missed 2 games and we won 2 right?
***
Adams-Robertson duo kills spacing and offensive flow imo. We should put 1 of them in the lineup.
Melo also stops the ball time to time. But we still played a lot of iso's without him.
There was a play in early 2nd half that we run a set for J.Grant and shot clock expired. That was one of Melo plays we usually run. I dont know why Russ wait to pass the ball to high post with -5 seconds left.

2 wins with incredible PG performances. Mavs played terrible. Clippers missed some of starters.
All in all 2 games doesnt mean we're better without Adams-Melo.

Well, they forgot about Abrines again after remembering him the last game. Need to get him more looks. He's way too good a shooter to never get shots. First good game for Patterson so hopefully he builds off this. Huestis made some shots so that's cool. Dakari is doing alright filling in for Adams. Grant is like Serge was, if he gets it & just goes he's generally fine, but if he gets it & thinks about it before making his move he tends to do something goofy.

George is a heck of a player. I don't think we've ever had a guy who is this good accordingly on both sides of the ball (Durant was close obviously). I didn't fully appreciate him in Indiana. Not even worth giving odds at this point but he'd sure look good in that Thunder uni for another 4 seasons. Hopefully the team finally gels and we can make a convincing case.

Not to jump to any conclusions or anything but I think a lot of us were wondering this before tonight's game. Maybe Westbrook and Melo are just too similar in their mindset. Hard enough at times to work around Russ doing that. Makes it difficult to sustain cogent offense when 2 freaking guys want to spend so much time ball stopping and trying to just take their man like this is the Drew league or something.

OK this win did not change anything at all.

Race for the Lottery:
- We're still tied for 14th in lottery and get our own pick.
- Damned Cavaliers passed us to move up to 13th.
- Mavs tank is so strong. (Cuban said they we won't tank till eliminated from playoffs, which should be like 4 weeks from now)
- Reminder: We scored 86 to a Kings team that lost to Knicks by like 30 points with the Knicks reserves playing the whole 4th quarter
