I love this forum and even if I'm not posting I'm on here everyday. The was another Pistons message board I posted on but it died after the "going to work" Pistons. Glad I landed here!

We are now becoming the team we thought we had last year.

Exactly. I have no doubt that with health we would've looked similar to this last year, although not as good.

Different offensive system though

It was my opinion that the Dre/RJ PnR was stifling other players and was doing more harm than good

RJ pounding the air out of the ball, forcing post ups for Dre, 3 guys standing around watching that...it's not good basketball. Stockton & Malone they aint!

New offensive system where ALL benefit is what makes us tough to cover since on any given night anyone can get hot.

There's very little standing around now, we're engaging the defense and moving the ball well.

When you do that good things happen and it takes so much pressure off RJ to create so much offense he can actually play some D ;-)

Apparently Tobias Harris had Lasik surgery in the off-season. I remember him picking at his contacts a lot. Think he can sustain 40% from 3 this season?

I believe that's a "hawt take," in the parlance of our times.

I think KCP's and Morris's selfish play held the team back last year. They were playing more for future contracts. SVG went out and obtained role players that fit a team chemistry better.

I think that's a bit of a leap to label them both selfish.

There's no need to throw them under the bus - different system, different Dre, different RJ etc

KCP was in a contract year. He was playing for his future contract. He is a good team player at times, but he may have been shooting more for stats in many games. Morris likes his ISO ball alot more than passing alot of times. Naturally, there were games where both were very unselfish but it seemed due to RJ's and Drummonds struggles, both were not bringing their best team aspects to games like they did the year before.

That's your opinion mate and you're entitled to it

I'm not gonna label either of them as selfish because what I saw last season was a stubborn old coach that failed to see what was clearly obvious to me & JVG. Obvious enough that JVG could convince his brother to change it.
