Been watching the Sixers, they're my hometown team
except for Ben Simmons, who's bloody amazing
the Sixers are more athletic than skilled
but they come at you in waves

oh, and TJ McConnell, the classic backup PG
no athleticism at all but he's learned to live in the cracks and spaces

can't shoot a lick, but watch how Simmons slithers to the hole
Blake has lost that part of his game

and of course Embiid is a 21st century C
a threat from 3 as well as the post
DJ is a dinosaur, let's face it
can't hit from 2 feet let alone 20

a battle of centuries and we're on the wrong side of history
can't protect the rim when Embiid is dragging you away from it

the core Clippers are Blake and DJ
but Blake can't muscle his way to the basket anymore, against 3 guys as tall as him
and DJ can't protect the post when Embiid can just turn and shoot over him at will

if you're talking about the play I saw, he actually slashed from the 3-pt line to the hole, what I was pleading for. In rather slow motion, lurching from side to side.

I like it. Not Maggette-like, though, let alone Bron or Jordan. But a start.

Blake has been backing in. It's been a big part of his game. I don't think that's gonna work anymore. They're swallowing him up.

LATE ADD HALFTIME: Clippers down by only 2. By effort alone. I can dig that.

Another epic chokejob by Austin Rivers. I'm beyond tired of all the playing time given to an undeserving player based on nepotism.

Caught the last 5 minutes or so.

Clippers go up 100-95 with less than 2 minutes to go and then do some strange things.

First Austin leaves Reddick wide open in the corner to try to steal the ball from the blind side of Embiid. He doesn't get the steal and Reddick hits the 3.

Then on the next possession, Blake tries a step back 3 or a long 2 which is way off and the Sixers go dow and tie it.

And then Blake goes to the paint after a time out and leaves a 6-footer short and the Sixers pull ahead.

Down the stretch Austin gets more touches than Lou Williams, who had the big game. One of those was a step back 3 from the wing that misses. Bruce Bowen criticized him for that quick shot.

Many of these critical possessions were one on one off the dribble shots. Sixers also tried that on the other end, with Embiid trying to go one on one with his head down and the Clippers sending a guy to double him.

Shot selection by both teams needed to be better.

DJ owned by Embiid, Austin gambling like like a dummy. Blake disappearing in the 2nd half, Lou Williams take over wasted, again, and bad shot selection. This team is just a riot.

LOL. Austin is the least of our problems. Everything went down more or less as I scouted it, except I din't expect DJ to be so completely useless.

Ben Simmons scored 22 points just slashing [slithering] to the hoop.

TJ McConnell rounded up 6 assists in 18 minutes [and also 6 rebs,WTF]

Embiid outscored DJ 32-2.
