This is how Book ends up with terrible shooting percentages lol. He always ends up taking shot after shot at the end of the game when we’re losing and turned an incredibly efficient shooting night to just over 50% today. Now tack that on to the more average games he has where he’s 45-50% before the end-of-game stretch and you end up with sub-40% shooting.

Need to be more patient at the end of the game. Their best defenders are running him off all his spots and he’s still chucking away. The (whole team) discipline needs to be there to continue to run your sets and get a good shot.

Dragan had one of his best games as a Sun. That plus the continued production of Book and TJ was worth the watch.

Ulis may not be a regular rotation NBA player.

JJ still works it on D. He really needs to play within himself on offense, even though his fire can be great too. And they may need to completely revamp his shot.

His defense has become a tad bit overrated. Players are still blowing right by him frequently. He needs to improve his stance when playing on ball defense.

All in all, I think Jackson can find some time in the G league to be very valuable. He can make mistakes and learn from there and perhaps improve his jumper too.

But Chambers, seriously I always remember Tom having the most unstoppable dunk in this game:

jeez, is that nba live 90-91 bulls v lakers?

If that's Chambers dunking, it's probably the 91 Suns or something. I think I see Hornacek running up from the bottom after the dunk.

Clarkson is not good. He might be an upgrade but that means nothing and giving up anything for him is a loss. He is a low IQ, mediocre talent at best. I would rather not trade anything and simply sign some guy off the street if we truly needed to do that.

Also, we don't need those guys this year because we don't need to be good this year. We should be tanking. Finding bench guys is easy to do once you have the stars in place. Right now tanking is our best path to that end. Besides, whoever we draft at the top will push somebody to the bench in all likelihood, and between that somebody, Ulis (I assume he turns it around and is really who he showed in starting minutes last year), Sauce, Jackson (if not starting), Miami pick, Dudley, DJJ, etc., that is not that bad a bench in a couple years when that youth has grown.

I don't know what is going on with Ulis. Dude averaged like 20 and 7 for the last month of the season as a starter. He looks lost out there.

Jackson will be fine. He needs to fix his jumper but we all knew that would be the case. The good news is that he has flashed his other traits (creativity, passing, defending, athleticism) at this level.

I think the Lakers would trade him for Monroe and like a highly protected 2nd rd pick.

I mentioned this in the trade thread and got **** on. Clarkson is a combo guard but I feel that is kind of what we need anyway. Booker is efficient running PG and he doesn't necessarily need a true PG. He needs someone to help carry the load offensively and can handle the ball occasionally.

I think after his game today maybe people won't **** on you about it. And yeah, we don't need a traditional PG next to Booker, a guy like Clarkson will do fine.

Ulis, James, Daniels, Len, Chandler are 5 of the 8 other guys and aren't going to be around in 3 years so no big deal.

Bender had the most impressive offensive performance of his career, Chriss showed elite rim protection with 8 blocks in 2 games and Jackson is accelerating his learning by being aggressive.

Clarkson is shooting very well this year, 50% from the field, 40% from 3.

Man I hate losing to the lakers at home, their fans took the place over at the end of the game. Jordan Clarkson killed us off the bench, our point guards were terrible, and Len has zero touch around the rim and is still getting outplayed by Tyson freaking Chandler.

Booker was amazing tonight, dude just flat out gets buckets. He makes some really difficult shots look easy. He didn't do a bad job on defense either tonight, some of those fouls against him were really soft. It's pretty hard not to consider Book a future star player the way he has up'd his game every year. It's really about putting pieces around him at this point, if him and TJ aren't both rolling this team doesn't score well.

Bender was really impressive too. The defense was good as always, but the confidence he was showing on offense was what impressed me most. The turnaround jumper, the strong drive, the finesse drive off the pump fake; all plays that we don't see a lot from Bender in one game. Bender will definitely find a way in the NBA if he can shoot the 3 and defend like he does, but if he puts together the playmaking, ball handling, rebounding, post play, shooting, and defense that he's shown flashes of he can be seriously special.

JJ has had a rough stretch shooting the ball. I honestly can't remember the last jump shot he has made. He brings it on defense and is aggressive attacking the paint, but he's tough to keep on the court when he's shooting bad and turning it over as frequently as he has been. I'm sure he'll have a good stretch of games soon here.

Quese didn't shoot well after a good stretch, but I thought he did a good job defending Kuzma for the most part and he wasn't forcing the issue too much. He's had some great blocks the last couple games, the fast break block tonight was sweet. I know people are low on him, but I still have high hopes. He's shown some decent passing skills this year, improved outside shooting, a developing face-up game, and is definitely making an effort it improve on the defensive end.

Need more minutes to see if Point Booker can be a thing not just 3 minutes at the end.

Best thing about this game was Bender. I’m down on Josh, but up on Bender again....so it’s a wash. Bender looks fast!!

Sucks to lose. I didn't see the whole game but it seems like TJ locked up Ingram?? They know each other very well.

It's more like Ingram locked up himself.

Devin Booker this season would rank:

2nd in 2PT%
2nd in 3PT%
1st in FT%

In Kobe Bryant's career.

That is ridiculous.

We already have that guy on the roster. His name is Brandon Knight. Don't let Clarkson's hot shooting streak fool you. He isn't good. Next year when Knight and Reed come back and we possibly draft a guard or two, everyone would be wondering WTF are we gonna do with all these overpaid chuckers.

You're right. Just want a short time filler. I wouldn't want to go into next year with both Clarkson and Knight. I'd prefer just to get Knight. Plus, I think he may be happy to stay here since he is looking at ample playing time at PG with Booker at SG. He won't have to fight for minutes now.

Not sure if someone posted these yet...

Damn, does Dragan look like a different animal under JT than EWwwww. He's basically simulating the Game of Thrones dragons from each of their seasons to his own seasons.
