I really like Triano but how were Jackson, James and Daniels in over Bender in the end? He's our best defender, he was on fire today on offense and he really deserved it for his play tonight.

Those Booker highlights he's playing like a top 3 SG and the stats will back that up in the next 18 months. He has everything and more and he's playing smarter under Triano taking better quality shots and passing out of traffic.

On Warren being the barometer as the 2nd option:
when he scores 20 points on 50% FG = 4 wins, 2 losses
when he doesn't = 1 win, 8 losses

Also +/- numbers under Triano:
Ulis -8, James -29
Booker -20, Daniels -52
Warren +27, Jackson -67
Chriss -1, Bender -69
Chandler +34, Len -57

jeez, is that nba live 90-91 bulls v lakers?

If that's Chambers dunking, it's probably the 91 Suns or something. I think I see Hornacek running up from the bottom after the dunk.

And Mark West getting ready to box out in the lane.

I don't like when Triano goes with the all-bench lineup. At least one of TJ and Booker should be on the court at all times.

I don't understand Triano's insistence on starting Chandler over Len; especially considering we continue to lose as is. Maybe that is the plan...again...to keep losing for another year, IDK. And while it doesn't make sense, and it doesn't seem right to reward poor play with a starting gig, but I still feel starting Len and playing him at least 25 mpg gives us our best chance at winning.

Additionally, it's obvious our PG situation is not good enough to win; we need a real PG, which has been discussed ad nauseum on this forum as well.

If McD does not bring in a PG within the next week or two, then IMO, it is clear that this is yet another 'Tank' year. He can 'spew' and 'spin' all he wants, but the truth of the matter is, we do NOT have a starting PG on our roster, and anything he says to the contrary is just his attempt to 'hide' the fact that we are tanking, again...

Too bad Bledsoe didn't go hair salon-ing before the draft. We may have snagged Fox, Smith, or FrankN instead or in addition. Not that easy to 'go find a PG'. One thing is becoming clear... Ulis is over matched and James is a scrub. Sad how their play has us looking forward to Knight's return. Well have to hear that lipsh*t throughout the next off season. I'd just like to see how this line up performs.... Booker, Jackson, Warren, Bender, Monroe...thats called playing your best players....but you get the feeling McDeals is hellbent on moving the Moose. Why even say anything about trading or a buyout? He's the best big man we've seen here in a decade. God help us if we'd win a few games. F-n timeline has become McDuh's crutch and our curse.

Jackson may never shake that can't shoot label. Odds are against him. How different is he from MKG ?

This is our rotation (fully healthy) with the number of seasons experience:

Ulis 1
Booker 2
Warren 3
Chriss 1
Chandler 17

James 0
Reed 0
Jackson 0
Bender 1
Len 4

The entire rotation except for Chandler has 12 seasons experience (and Chandler has 17).

That is clearly not a team built for winning for a while.

I know that you are a Len's fan, but did you watch the game? Len was horrible out there. And when I say horrible I mean HORRIBLE.
He made mistake after mistake on both sides on the floor and a 60 years old Bogus outplay him. And he deserves to start? I don't think so.

Chandler is old and he doesn't protect the rim, but at least he rebounds pretty well and comunicates on defense.

Len is a solid backup C in the league, not less not more. Hopefully he improves a little his consistency and he would be one of the best backup Cs in the league.

There's not much difference between Chandler and Len that 10 minutes extra would change a game.

They rebound the same per 36, Defensive Rating 110 vs 109, Len scores more but Chandler is more efficient.

We lost this game because their bench was better. From our bench unit only Bender played a good game.

Mike James shooted pretty bad and Jackson needs to calm down. Jackson is playing so out of control that he puts me nervous watching him and he is risking too much on offense every time.

Daniels is useless if we don't have an interior presence that can make space for shooters on the halfcourt. He doesn't add nothing beause he can't create or defend well his position. I'm all for giving his minutes to Jackson and probably he will play with more pause knowing that he is gonna be on the court more minutes per game. IDK...is just an idea.

With a decent game from our bench we would have win this game. I hate to lose to this Lakers team, ****. We need to win Friday's matchup.

Len is not a solid backup center. He is a third string center at best. If Williams was healthy he would not be playing. He's that bad. A 3rd stringer.

Man, those Lakers are bad, and we still lost. I get that our shooting was turrible, but the playmaking at the end was moronic. No ball movement, no plays to set Warren or Booker at the elbow. Just hero ball, wrong players taking shots and poor perimeter defense. Very bad loss.

I do. Len is not doing what he asks. He has not earned it. As of now, he will not be here next year. There is no reason to treat him with kid gloves. Len disrupts the entire defense. Triano said clearly that the entire defense does better when Chandler is on the floor because he is calling out assignments to everyone. Len hinders the development of everyone else defensively. Chandler helps their development.

Yeah, Triano said it best, and it's obvious how much better we play defensively as a team when Chandler is on the floor directing others.

The Suns also welcomed back Chandler, who had missed the last two games with back spasms. It wasn’t a coincidence, said interim coach Jay Triano, that Phoenix’s defense made a marked improvement with Chandler on the floor.

“Alex (Len) can only do it so many times without being fatigued or in foul trouble,” Triano said. “The anchor back there is the guy who communicates to everybody and Tyson is a great communicator with a lot of experience. He probably doesn’t have the same bounce that he used to have, but he’s still a valuable guy to have back there.”

Yep. 'The Len thing is about over. He just does not have the mental make up.

Its like Philly. Its tough to admit your draft mistake about a player like Okafor or Noel. But the draft is hard. But if you continue to stick with those players after the handwriting is already on the wall, then you jeopardize the development of a player like Embiid, or you let it keep you from going and getting a player like Embiid.

Clown is the last thing Booker will ever look like. He has more value than the entire Lakers roster combined.
