Best time to buy Heat tickets - vs Boston Celtics

Post#1 » by timbo123 » Mon Nov 13, 2017 4:50 am

Hi guys,

Apologies if this has been asked a million times before, but I will be visiting Miami from England and will go to the game against the Celtic's on the 22nd.

Most things I've read say in general that tickets get cheaper on stubhub etc as it gets closer to the game, but you guys will have a better feel - for a big game like this one, is it more likely that the tickets aren't gonna drop in price at all?

Cheers!

Best time to purchase tickets is the notorious time known as Chalm Zone.

But seriously, just buy em in advance, few days before tip off? I wouldn't worry about the prices too much especially if you don't live here and visiting. It won't make much difference because you're eventually going to go back to England anyway. I know you want to save much as possible but don't worry too much on it or you may just lose the seats you're looking for.

With the game not being so far away, it'd be best to just try and find tickets now. As the game gets closer some people who can't sell their tickets will probably drop their prices but, as HWR said you might lose the seats that you want.

I've had good experiences with StubHub in the past though.

Also this season the Heat arena no longer takes printed tickets, all admissions are done through your phone using the Miami Heat app. I haven't gone to a game yet this season though, so I don't know how that'll work if you're buying off of StubHub.

Getting that sorted is another reason to buy ahead of time.

Best time to purchase game tickets is right at gametime. If you show up right at the 7pm gametime or 5-10 minutes before, then the scalpers who do have tickets are panicking to get rid of their tickets. I have gotten lower bowl 7th row behind the bench for $50 this way. They will basically sell them for whatever you are willing to pay. Plus, it gives you extra time at the bar getting sloshed on cheaper drinks than the high priced Arena drinks.
