The rumor they might move him is because of off court attitude and behavior issues. Plus attaching him to one of their bad contracts would be their easiest path to clearing their books and still getting a draft or young player back.

Now imo its a bit of a catch 22 because if they get to a point of actually moving him it definitely raises the question of is he worth the cost and potential headache.

He's playing well and I think they probably keep him.

I'll pass on Mudiay and Faried. Would just prefer to stand pat and allow Booker to handle PG duties occasionally. Let's wait to address these needs over the summer unless an extremely good deal presents itself.

End of the day, I probably am not taking on a bad contract. Schroeder seems like a bad contract. Monroe for Payton/Biyombo - horrible

The only deal - and the Mavs aren't doing it as Cuban doesn't need the cap money and they LOVE the player would be Wes Matthews and Dennis Smith for Monroe. But that's just stupid to even write as like I said - its not an option

All these other deals with expiring Monroe for - -whatever, just stink to m

Noah and Frank N - horrible Noah
Biyombo and Payton - horrible contract to take on

I think the Suns just need to suck it up - buyout Monroe in February or after 12/15 if no deal comes along and figure out PG

Of the young PG's, Ntikilina, Mudiay. Shroeder is having a Knight-esque season. I would be inclined to pass on him. Meanwhile Mudiay, while not shooting great all around, has looked good from 3 so far this season on low usage. Ntikilina is the surprise for me. His shooting has been atrocious but his distribution has been better than advertised. It may mean whatever chance we may have had at one point of getting him is no longer there. I'm not sure they part with him even if we take Noah. I like Mudiay and Ntikilinas height and length for it's potential defensively.

All that said, I'm not sold that we need a traditional PG with the way Book has been handling the ball. I think the move Triano made to put Jackson in to guard Clarkson (too late) was the right move. I think Clarkson only scored once or twice after that. You have to play advantages and Jacksons height will allow him to do some things in the future that other people can't touch. I think working with Jackson to turn him into a Simmons-lite might be the way to go for the position. He is very loose with his handles in the lane, but his speed and agility going left are great, and with his shot better than advertised, he is closer to being able to stay on the floor.

Mike James has the 5th worst rookie DRtg. Three of those worse than him play for the Kings. Only two of the four worse than him play many minutes (De Aaron Fox and Justin Jackson).

Only 13 rookie have a + net rating. Of course the top 2 play for the Warriors and Celtics (Jordan Bell and Jayson Tatum), though Bell hasn't played that many minutes (less than 9 a game).

So who's more trustworthy here... Gambo or Bordow?

I'd trust Gambo over the guy who just got here.

I've always thought George Hill would be a great guy to have but he makes $19 million a year and has two more years on his contract after this I believe and on top of that he has been playing like crap this year. Like a complete turnaround from last year. I don't know if it's just being on the Kings or what.

George Hill and Kosta Koufos for Brandon Knight and Greg Monroe?

Costs us an additional $15 million next year and $7 million the year after that. Knight's younger, maybe they'd prefer him.

Personally I'd rather not. In any case, I don't deal for George unless Brandon's going the other way.

I would trade for him. He is a two-way PG.

$20M this season and $19M next year. He would replace basically Bledsoe.
Only $1,000,000 guaranteed for 2019/20, according to Eric Pincus.

In 2019/2020 - the Suns actually would save money because they can waive Hill and Koustos only costs 8m. But like you said, the Kings saved a lot of money next year.

2017/2018: Monroe /Knight is 31.5 compared to Kosta/Hill at 28m
2018/19: Knight at 14 compared to the 29m
2020: Knight is 14; Koufos /Hill is 9

So in total: Kings pay about 61m; Suns would pay about 66

I think I do it because in year 3 - you are getting cost savings when you need it. And next year ,they will need to meet the cap floor anyway. Hill would be a good stop gap - seems like a doable deal. Also if the Suns draft a PG with their two picks this year - this will give that guy a year window next year to learn under Hill before you waive Hill.

We've faced similar 2nd half of season PG rotations:

2016: Knight and Price
2017: Ulis and Barbosa
2018: Ulis and James

I don't think the solution then or now is getting in a $20m injured guy turning 32 shooting 41%.

Gambo is putting bad ideas in our head with Brandon Knight and George Hill.

Ah, thanks. So, Monroe for Hill, straight up? I guess it depends on whether George would work hard here.

I am not sure I take on Hill without dumping a contract like Knight. Monroe is expiring - that is helping the Kings too much

I like the Koufos and Knight additionss

How does George Hill playing time look like?

Let's say we trade for him and he arrives a week after he's eligible on December 22.

Let's also say we go into youth mode after the All-Star break and start Ulis on February 14.

That means George Hill only gets significant playing time in a maximum of 25 games before the off-season.

I don't think George Hill stops the tank that much. He is not playing that great. But Ulis and James are just over-matched at this time.
