Red Vines wrote:^Yeah I attribute the melting down mostly to inexperience and new team problems. The old Knicks with vets blowing leads...there's no comfort in that. I see upside and room to grow with this team.

LeBron is doing more good for this team with all of his corny antics than bad.

This is all that you want for this team. Onward and more mean.

The bum missed two critical free throws at the end of the game but got a lucky bounce and tip by either J.Green or DWade (can't remember which one it was of the two) who tipped it back to LeDellaDon. He needed to hit at least one of them to put his team up by 4 to win the game and the bum missed both.

I have to erase this from my mind!!!

Get the win in Utah and move on!

I am the opposite, would have feel similar if they blew us out from the first moment like years past and LeDouche was acting like now, but they barely escaped the MSG with a win and we played great, looked like an actual up and coming team

Feel like them gloating so much about this result show how much Knicks stature already grown and why they acting like achieving such huge accomplishment, over just 1 regular season game where we shouldnt even be winning for our sakes, they are celebrating like they just won a title lol

I am so tired of readning this, so a tall defensive ball distributing P is a triangle pg? really ? I think Frank fits this team because of the type of player he is. A player like i described will be good with any team with decent big man....14 ppgs 7 to 8 apg and 3 steals is not a bad state line for any type of pg

I wish the "Triangle Point Guard" mythos in general would die a horrible death.

Mostly agree and know what you mean but with the caveat that melting down in the 4th and not being able to recover ... that is pretty similar to the old Knicks. My take is that they could still fall into the abyss. This is a thing that has to be managed closely and by a control freak. Assuming you have arrived is really the easiest way to go back into a ditch.

That's what the team and the coach did and they couldn't at least win ... which would have made the meltdown much less worse.

Next time they're in this spot, they could do it again. Teams get into patterns. That's why the Hornets blew two leads in a row.

I wouldn't bet the ranch on the Knicks not having a really hard year. Their D looks better, KP is maturing some at least, so things are going in the right direction. But them returning to bad wouldn't surprise me.

Otherwise I agree lol.

I think it's in situations like these that we'll find out what kind of player KP might become. He, somewhat uncharacteristically, missed 3 out of 4 FTs in the final minutes. Next time we blow a big lead, will he think to himself "Oh no, it's happening again" and crumble, or think "I'm not going to let this happen again" and rise to the occasion? He's only 22, so we might see both in the short term.

Last night's meltdown obviously isn't all on just one player, but my point is that losses like these can be learning experiences for players and teams. KP seemed pissed after the game, so hopefully he uses this as motivation.

Problem is its been bad games against the Cavs and Celtics ..games that are benchmark games for his tier that ppl try and put him in when really he's not there yet

KP's not the reason why we lost. Allowing Kyle Korver to score 15 points (?) in the final quarter is.

Simply disgusting to watch another man who is a self-proclaimed king...act like such a pussy.

They will now that Phil gone but the point still stands.

it doesn't because being a tall guard and paying defense just makes you a good guard in any system. esp because we did not a score first guard. Look at the number of steals this kid is averaging would that not help in any system? A good player is a good player. now there are system players but they were never in the realm of being considered good players.
Frank is not a system pg playing in the triangle will not and should not define his career. he would be just as successful in any system because of the skills he brings

Yeah, it's just weird. LeBron had a problem "with Phil" and then one heated game and all of a sudden he's on a twitter rampage about the Knicks in general.

Dang. I don't think I'll make it to 50.

I didn’t say he was a system PG. i said he just got it perfectly and that’s what Phil was envisioning imo.

He fit the physical and mental make up and he’s exhibiting now why it made sense.

He’s gonna be good no matter the system, agreed just saying at that time I’m sure Phil seen a perfect triangle fit.
