You're right. Two bad games in late October and early November in his third season in which he's been an MVP type player is a huge cause for concern that he might not be a superstar. We should ship him out ASAP because how dare he have two sub par games. Shame on him. Top tier players must be PERFECT AT ALL TIMES!

Get the win in Utah and move on!

I am the opposite, would have feel similar if they blew us out from the first moment like years past and LeDouche was acting like now, but they barely escaped the MSG with a win and we played great, looked like an actual up and coming team

Feel like them gloating so much about this result show how much Knicks stature already grown and why they acting like achieving such huge accomplishment, over just 1 regular season game where we shouldnt even be winning for our sakes, they are celebrating like they just won a title lol

I applaud your approach.   I was having a party during this game. Then I felt like this! :clown: :ouch: :curse: Now I hate your approach!!! :curse:

Mostly agree and know what you mean but with the caveat that melting down in the 4th and not being able to recover ... that is pretty similar to the old Knicks. My take is that they could still fall into the abyss. This is a thing that has to be managed closely and by a control freak. Assuming you have arrived is really the easiest way to go back into a ditch.

That's what the team and the coach did and they couldn't at least win ... which would have made the meltdown much less worse.

Next time they're in this spot, they could do it again. Teams get into patterns. That's why the Hornets blew two leads in a row.

I wouldn't bet the ranch on the Knicks not having a really hard year. Their D looks better, KP is maturing some at least, so things are going in the right direction. But them returning to bad wouldn't surprise me.

Otherwise I agree lol.

I think it's in situations like these that we'll find out what kind of player KP might become. He, somewhat uncharacteristically, missed 3 out of 4 FTs in the final minutes. Next time we blow a big lead, will he think to himself "Oh no, it's happening again" and crumble, or think "I'm not going to let this happen again" and rise to the occasion? He's only 22, so we might see both in the short term.

Last night's meltdown obviously isn't all on just one player, but my point is that losses like these can be learning experiences for players and teams. KP seemed pissed after the game, so hopefully he uses this as motivation.

One way or another, you find out what a guy is capable of -- these situations help a lot in that regard but it's definitely rare, to be fair, for young guys to have clean records in the clutch.

We played soft in the 4th and the Cavs wanted that one more. It’s painful especially since we wont see them again for awhile. Take out revenge on every opponent from now until the end of the season. Learn from this. Play every game like it’s a fight for life until its over. Never get complacent. Don’t let anyone come into MSG and take our souls like that again

How we bounce back will say a lot.

A player like i described will be good with any team with decent big man....14 ppgs 7 to 8 apg and 3 steals is not a bad state line for any type of pg

I wish the "Triangle Point Guard" mythos in general would die a horrible death.

They will now that Phil gone but the point still stands.

No, actually the point falls over.

For the 3,000th time. There is NO SUCH THING AS A TRIANGLE POINT GUARD. Phil was lucky enough to have teams, that had, in pair, or even 3's, MJ and Pippen, MJ, Pippen, Kukoc, or Kobe and Odom. Those were the "Points" of the offense. IF you have have such players, then at that open positional slot you are thinking less about a penetrating guard and more about a guy who can knock down the open looks that the previous pairs of players are generating. The GM and coach aren't wasting $ and assets to find a penetrating "pure point/scoring point". So they went for shooters like Paxson, BJ Armstrong, Kerr and Fisher. Yet, they also had Harper, who was like MJ before he hurt his knee, and he's a completely different player than those guys. If MJ was the worlds greatest spot up shooter and did nothing else well but defend and Pippen was the same guy, the Bulls would have been all over a "traditional PG".

Frank was drafted because he'll participate in system basketball, meaning he's team oriented first, individually oriented 2nd. Like KP. It's why Phil picked KP, it's why he picked Frank. Oh, that and then defense and then of course offensive potential.

I love how crazy & invested Kanter is.

I didn't see that coming -- figured he's some guy who will try to score and be done with it. No no no. This guy is not playing for money.

Perfect fit for this city.

THjr last 9 games:

20.4 ppg
45.5% fg's (16.1 fga/g)
32.5% 3pt fg's (8.6 3pa/g)
81.8% ft's (3.7 fta/g)
5.3 rpg
3.4 apg
1.7 spg

I wish he was hitting his threes at a 37% clip or at least 35%, but otherwise these are great numbers.

Good job, though I'll add: Don't take your foot off the pedal on a non back to back, put in your 3rd stringers to aggravate the other team, and basically light up your cigar, just before your team is about to have no idea who is guarding this or that 3 ball.

Lol it was top entertainment, our focus should be building the 2020s Dynasty and every bit of loss will help never know, if we didnt finish just 1 ahead of Mavs we would have no Frank right now and thats the revolting thought that unsettles me most

Didn't he have a great game ON THE ROAD against the Cavs? Facts people. Use them. Wasn't Sessions/Baker the BC against Boston?

They didn't shut down KP....they slowed him down. He's an up and coming superstar and will be one of the top players in this league. He's already up there on the list. He's TWENTY TWO YEARS OLD!

What are his stats for:
Losing his man on defense per game
Dumb heat check shot per game
momentum killing turnover per game?

I'd say it's 4,4,3
