These UVA freshman looked pretty good tonight. Jay Huff had 5 blocks, 16 points on 7-8 shooting with 2 threes. He's also 7'1. Didn't catch any of the game, but that's a bit eye popping as a freshman.

I don't think there's a discussion who's the best prospect at the moment, but the questions about Doncic' ceiling are real in my opinion. He's fairly twitchy with the ball in his hands, but apart from that he is limited athletically. Will be a really fun discussion for the #1 pick between Doncic and the American prospects, matter of median and ceiling outcome imo.

I think that the only way Doncic becomes a legit superstar is when he develops into a lights out shooter off the dribble or he becomes notably quicker with NBA training program.

My favorite player of this class is Troy Brown jr, would be an excellent fit with our roster. Willing defender, great size for a wing, I believe in his shooting mechanics and after outgrowing his PG role with him being 6'7'' he's an excellent passer with vision.

I need to see him more, but I think he might a top 5 prospect.

Been on the Troy Brown bandwagon for a while myself - hoping he has a good season and we're somehow in a position to draft him. Its shaping up as a good draft for our roster even if Brown is beyond our reach/doesn't pan out this year.

Yep. Pretty much. I will say that this Kansas team isn't really as scary as years passed. Mykhailiuk and Vick don't really strike fear; Newman is an inefficient scorer that should struggle with length. And we certainly have the length to bother them.

There needs to be some kind of cohesion on offense for us to have a chance. The only real advantage they have on us is experience.

Kansas has so many dynamic shot creators and far more firepower than Kentucky. If they can hit their shots and thus limit the transition points of Kentucky then I don't see how they'll overcome their horrendous half court offense. Running floppy sets for Malik Monk makes sense, but with their current guard group without consistent shooters capable of scoring off screens it's hard to watch.

If Kentucky plays big they should try to exploit the massive height difference between Kevin Knox and his defender.

This is the type of game where Knox needs to prove he's in the lottery conversation for this draft.

I'm afraid that our freshmen will have too many mental lapses this early in the season.

Good thing that there are so many big guys at the top of the draft with Porter, Ayton, Bamba, Jackson jr., Williams and Carter. Increases the chance that we are able to draft an underrated wing/guard.

Yeah it will be tough to keep the turnovers to the minimum and defend without fouling and getting out of position. Think Kansas is the big favorite in this matchup so early in the season.

Kevin Knox is a surefire lottery prospect for me. Kid is incredibly young, so I'll be monitoring his progression throughout the season instead of his actual production which might be a bit underwhelming.

His length, both height and wingspan, and frame in combination with that shooting stroke is so intriguing to me. Noticed that he was guarding Bell-Haynes at the last play against Vermont, as a fan do you know if he's considered as one of their best defenders? So far he hasn't faced an opponent who tried to drive past him, but at first sight he doesn't look extremely twitchy to me.

I'm in love with Victor Sanders from Idaho. He's my Derrick White of this year.

If Jaren Jackson puts the clamps on Bagley at the rim, I'll be impressed.

Nick Ward is soooo good. I think he can be an awesome back-up C in the league. 7'2" wingspan is sufficient enough.

Bridges plays with that passion, man. But he's not erratic. The good kind of passion.

*Knox on wood*

Good first half. Keeping it close against a more mature team.
