He's a scoring PG. I think you can build a nice team around him, but you have to build a specific way.

Frank I think allows more flexibility in team building approach and I'm more of a fan of what I think the end result will be.

And DSJr could be more PG oriented and somewhat different in a few years. All of this is way too early, but initial impressions are I like the defense and team first approach of Frank more and DSJr is talented as well.

So the AI76ers team build but good luck finding anyOne as defensively dominant as Ben Wallace...

Mutumbo, but point taken.
lol shoot your right Wallace pistons...
Same idea

Thank you for applying some much needed context. Hard to compare, especially with Frank coming off the bench and playing on a team with a guy who's been at a top 5 level all season.

Both will be great IMO.

I see more and more Derrick Rose/Steve Francis in DSJ; great scoring guard, above average passer, mediocre defender. Those players these days gets you highlights on ESPN, they don't win you games that matter.

Frank is a playmaker and flashes elite perimeter defense. The caveat is when he gains the confidence to make scoring plays for himself.

Rather have a PG that can defend and make plays for others than a flashy player that carries very little of everything else. Both will be good players though, just in a different way.

Imagine how pissed we would be if every point guard was being escorted into the paint like years past.

There's plenty of flashy players that also have a big impact on winning. Somehow having the ability to be flashy has been spun as a negative as a defense mechanism to defend the Frank pick. As if Kyrie and Curry, two guys with plenty of sizzle, aren't wearing rings from the last 3 years.

How you mold the ability is what matters. DSJ is under the tutelage of Carlisle, who has been an absolute warlock with PGs. They're going to get a top 5 pick to pair with this kid and probably another lottery pick after that. Let's see how his game translates to winning when the team has actual talent.

I have zero buyers remorse with the Frank pick. Not sure why folks still feel the need to defend it. He's been great.

**** needs to stop. It's old now. Day after day it's the DSJr Express around here. We have our player and Dallas has theirs. We'll see what they look like 2-3 years from now.

I 100% agree with you. After finally (FINALLY!) addressing the PG spot with a long term solution, we should all be ecstatic and move on

Can someone, anyone, explain to me how the Pistons are consistently winning with that roster?
