Doesn't matter, too late, they waited too long. Should have been the first thing they tweeted when they got out of the Chinese clink. Monday morning gratitude-backing. Worse than saying nothing. Spolied Americans handed everything in life (including a Presidential Get Out of Jail Free card), but had to take more from some poor Chinese roadside vendor. MaGa!

not sure how accurate but ive read things where these stupid kids could get 2-3 years for stealing sun glasses? I mean, we've all been idiot kids before. and that punishment doesn't fit the crime in our society. we dont need another situation where a kid dies in jail for petty theft.
trump did the right thing. didn't mess around with being right or wrong. just got the kids home. the Ball's can send over $100k to that vendor or even better make a trip to china and promote those glasses. its a win-win.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XVI
Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer who compiled an explosive dossier of allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, believes it to be 70% to 90% accurate, according to a new book on the covert Russian intervention in the 2016 US election.
The book, Collusion: How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win, by the Guardian journalist Luke Harding, quotes Steele as telling friends that he believes his reports – based on sources cultivated over three decades of intelligence work – will be vindicated as the US special counsel investigation digs deeper into contacts between Trump, his associates and Moscow.
“I’ve been dealing with this country for 30 years. Why would I invent this stuff?” Steele is quoted as saying.
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Whether you buy into "collusion" or not this is an interesting read nonetheless.
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

We can file this under duh. The only people that believe that the Dossier is fake are the biggest Trump sycophants. This is all spin from the right wing media and Republicans trying to protect their boy Trump. That Papadopolous arrest really freaked out Republicans considering that we know he was wearing a wire. All this stupid Uranium One witch hunt, investigating the DNC everything is all a distraction from Russia and the indictments. I can believe this is how their constituents want Republicans spending their time.

Speaking of Uranium One....
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Looking less and less like a witch hunt and more and more( no pun?) like this guy is a real pos. Like I said last week. No mercy for pedophiles. None. Find another charge and throw the book at him if allegations are true. Make one up. I don't care. Remove this man from power. Seize his wealth. And remove his liberty. His wife is very likely in on it given that she already falsified this letter and made it look current so make sure she doesn't get any of his wealth either.
Btw, we can thank Sean Hannity for doing the tough investigative journalism and exposing this man last week. The lack of veracity in Roy Moores answers to hannitys questions last Friday (4 days ago) just didn't answer the veracity of the allegations.
I'd like to see liberal Publications and media sources and "journalists" ask the same tough questions when their guy " isn't ready" for the questions.
Unlike the Bill Clinton Fiasco where Bill's own wife threw the accusers under the bus and the entire democratic establishment rallied behind Bill both before and after his impeachment hearings, Republicans quickly and almost entirely disbanded from moore. Literally within a week of the allegations. That's how you do it. And they are doing so with a critical senatorial seat on the line. Color me impressed.

Goddammit. I’m agreeing with sd20 now.
In my defense, over the past few years I’ve started to realize that the war on drugs I’ve been railing against is largely the Clinton’s fault, so I’m already kind of giving them the side eye.
I've been taught all my life to value service to the weak and powerless.

And the other half of the problem - Law and order politics - came from the conservatives. Perfect storm really.
But now the question is - which party will fix it...

At the end of the day, it's not an either/or when it comes to which party will fix it...it's a both. I think it gets fixed when both parties realize that the best (and only) way to accomplish truly big and lasting things is through bipartisanship. But I'm not holding my breath on that one.

This - I should have said - which party will move the needle. Both have been complicit in this truly stupid policy.
If you are a fiscal conservative - this issue eats at your soul. We could have put all of those that went to prison on a college scholarship and really grown the economy. Not to mention we wouldn't have torn up so many families - sigh.
I see that some running for DA are now running on a "Smart on Crime" mantra - much better. They are running on the fact that crime in the US is way down...
Holding my breath!
