I don't buy this at all. Like I said in my original post in this thread, at the time this question was posted they were all still prospects, with the key difference being we had the benefit of seeing Giannis actually play against NBA level talent and still show flashes of greatness.

I don't buy this at all. Like I said in my original post in this thread, at the time this question was posted they were all still prospects, with the key difference being we had the benefit of seeing Giannis actually play against NBA level talent and still show flashes of greatness.

they were viewed as franchise perenniel all star type prospects and Giannis was viewed as a guy with a ton of upside but not on that level yet.

I get there might be a couple guys that were so tuned in they called both Giannis nuclear rise and the fact that wiggins and Jabari were gonna sort of bust compared to what was projected....but the idea that half the board would make this call makes my analysis simple. its called homerism.

MOST, the vast majority of guys, made that call because they were homers. you bet like that and most of the time youre going to lose. and if you've got that kind of eye for talent when the rest of the world disagrees then youre a world class talent scout. half this board is not a world class talent scout.

I think if you bet on the vast majority of players being franchise players and perennial all-stars you're going to lose. They were all very promising prospects, but only one was showing it while already being in the NBA.

Had to quote this simply because it somehow, kind of came close to working out... just get rid of Sanders and keep Giannis over Wiggins, and have Parker be healthy... OK so just the Bledsoe part was right but still.
