Man, that arena is empty. I'll have to go see him live. It's amazing how this town revolves around UT football but when UT basketball has a recruit like this you don't hear much about it. All they talk about is UT Football on sports radio. When Myles Turner was here I heard very little, if anything. Haven't heard anything about Bamba. I wonder what it was like when Durant was here.

How can you tell if he'll be Len or Gobert.

He doesn't look awkward like Len.

It seemed like Len was getting by on being tall and athletic, nothing screamed elite physical gifts or skill.
Bamba has elite physical gifts. He could be Noel instead of gobert, those are the risks of the draft. As long as bamba doesn't have major injuries and can put on some weight he'll be a good center.

Mo Bamba makes Dragan look thick.
Brandon McCoy is certainly on my radar -- early season stats are promising. Thought Wendell Carter looked pretty good against Michigan State. I missed on seeing Bagley before he went out with the eye injury. Didn't know what to think about Duval, except that he was a step above athletically.
This class has the bigs, that is for sure.

Re: NBA Draft and NCAA Basketball
Nobody knows. If people knew Gobert would look like Gobert and Noel and Len would look like Noel and Len, Gobert wouldn't have gone 27 and the other two wouldn't have gone 5 and 6.
8 centers went before Gobert in that draft.

I'm going to keep my eye on Ayton. He would be top for me too right now, but the fumbling of the ball last game is concerning.
Also, I like Diallo's athleticism, but honestly think Grayson Allen is better all-around.

How do you feel about the sophomores, Robert Williams and bridges?

I think those 2 are better players than a few I listed but don't have All-Star upside.
My tiers are general not team specific.

I really like the potential Mo Bamba, but it's pretty maddening seeing a guy with a standing reach approaching 10' bringing the ball down so low when under the basket.

Don't look now, but if the season ended today, MIA '18 would be one selection behind LAL '18. And that would be marvelous.

Can't wait until they are revealing in reverse order and Miami's name doesn't come up, particularly if we are sitting in the 5 spot, because you know everyone is moving down a spot (unless of course we jump top 3 too).

Bruce Brown from Miami is playing PG.
In the mould of Marcus Smart, Kris Dunn with length, defense, competitiveness and some shooting.
Looks to be around mid first.

Re: NBA Draft and NCAA Basketball
Thankfully, the heat are more likely to push for the playoffs than tank. They have that stupid pride of theirs. When we tank, we may feel a slight sting. That's pride **** with you. **** pride. Pride only hurts, it never helps.
