Curry always sucks balls and looks like a poor mans Steve Blake against Celtics.

Green?

Somewhat agree. What is Tatum going to do that makes him so great? He is really good but I can't see him carrying a team. He's a really good piece. Not making me swoon.

Would you take a Tatum like player on this team?

Yes but is that the same as saying he's got an unlimited, franchise ceiling? No. The guy said he thinks he could be an All-Star. I agree. Still not the same as saying he'll carry a team.

He seems very good at a lot of things but not sure he's dominant at anything.

I think Embiid is better than KP, don't get me wrong. I just don't think he's all >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> better like some here think.

They are also different players, even though Embiid has all sorts of mobility and shoots 3's.

KP is a 4, who can play some 5 but who's game is a lot like a 3, but now he posts up.
Embiid is that classic bully C but he's mobile and can shoot 3's.

Just different players and they don't even play the same position.

Fair assessment, he’s in a rare situation as a rookie where he’s not the best player or even 2nd or 3rd and his team has high expectations for the season.

I think his development as a player could have been different if he went to say Phoenix where expectations are low and he could maybe develop into that franchise leading talent.

He won’t have the same chance in Boston.

No hate. I like him a lot. If he was 6-11, he'd be franchise. It's harder for shorter guys to be dominant. Can we just agree on that? 6-7/8 ... it's rarer for those guys to be dominant pieces. Tatum may be better than Paul George but George himself is a really good player and not sure how much he transformed his team, despite being really good. He helped. He was their best player and they won some games with him. Still not sure I'd call George a franchise player.

He is. The only issue with Embiid is his health (and that's a big one). He's as good, probably better than KP offensively. Certainly more efficient. No one can stop him if he just continually attacks the basket. He's also elite defensively, both as a rim protector and has the size to not get pushed around in the post. The rebounding isn't close between the two. And this isn't a knock on KP, he's amazing. But with health, Embiid can reach GOAT levels at his possition.

Tatum has been tremendous. Give a ton of credit to Stevens. Took those long 2s out of his game and has him shoot mostly at the 3 point line. Brown has the makings of an excellent 2 way wing. I'd still take Philly's young core long term, but Brad Stevens is the X factor between those 2 teams.

Boston will get one more top prospect to add to their core but even still I’m taking Philly unless Boston got Ayton then I’m not sure.

This is why the Knicks need either tank or hit on a guy they pick in the middle of the draft. KP alone isn’t gonna beat those teams.

Well best technical rookie has been Simmons. From the last class, Tatum is that guy. Will be interesting to see what happens with the others... Where the heck has JJ been?

What's your argument then? That PG is good and that Tatum is good and that even if a guy is not as good as LeBron, they could still be very good? Totally agreed.

yeah we're gonna be losing to them for years unless we get another high end player next to KP. Fans are getting excited over meaningless wins and crap on you if you want to tank. So silly. We probably end up with the 9th seed too lol.

I think J.J. is no good. A guy wasting talent. Similar to Tatum if not more talented, but Tatum is going to maximize it in a way that Josh won't.
