And if the plan is to sign free agents, then having a rep as a team that punishes players isn't helpful. The Sun's rep is a bit tarnished already.

3 years later adding a highly protected 1st rd pick was all that was needed to get this done. Crazy how almost this exact thing ended up happening.

TurboTitans dream came true.

I'm not sure the Bucks would give up Giannis for Drummond but I hope it happens!

To put this in perspective:

Suns take on $17 mil in salary next season & $10 mil the year after in order to get a first for Moose?

$27 mil is a lot to pay for a first rounder

Didn't the free press put this idea out there? Coulda swore I read it came from there.
My hatred for the And 1's make me not want to do this trade.
My hope is we can upgrade somewhere with a 2 for 1 deal somehow before the deadline. Keep SJ and Tobias but somehow get a guy that can play forward and give us big minutes.

Now find the thread where people didn't want to trade Monroe & Knight for James Harden (or maybe not, I was probably one of them).

As much as I would love Monroe back here I would say no. We need to wait until the right home run trade comes along and dump all of our assets into it. I used the example of LAC blowing it up and trading Blake Griffin but it could obviously be any big time forward (small or power). Kennard/Ellenson/Johnson/2 first rounders/fillers for an allstar forward would vault us into the top 3 in the East.

Now, if PHX isn't looking for much (and it didn't seem like they were, expecially not a first rounder), I would offer Leuer/Boban/1 or 2 second rounders for Monroe. MAYBE throw in Ellenson but I don't feel comfortable with that if Monroe is just a rental.

Monroe would be a perfect off the bench scorer much in the way Corliss Williamson was.

He would have to accept that role but if he did the second unit would be sick as hell.

Would do it, it's going to have to be done at some point anyways after having to pay Tobias and Avery. Also should really help this year cause you can use him the same way we are using Dre.

That's cute but that package ain't getting you anything that's going to vault us into the top 3, unless of course we're already top 4.

3 very nice prospects and 2 first rounders isn't enough to get an allstar? Okay, clearly you haven't been paying attention to recent trades. Also, you can stop with the self-righteous attitude any time now. It would be great.

3 very nice prospects? If you actually believed that yourself you wouldn't be trading them with 2 first rounders for 1 all star. That would be a massive overpay. Except it ain't an overpay because opposing GMs probably wouldn't see it the same way.

And self righteous? This coming from Mr. "I'm done with this team wasting my time....goodnight....except I'll be posting about something else that happens in the game 5 minutes later.....so really not goodnight"?
