Don't think Kemba is the right fit at PG for us. Specially at that price.

Why not just try and sign Kemba in summer of 19? If he wants to leave Charlotte he might be about the best guy we may be able to use our cap space on, and maybe at the position we need the most help, particularly if we end up with a vet like Hill for a year or two.

I love Kemba. I think it's a lot to give up but could make us competitive really soon. I like your thinking!

It's hard to see us getting a 2nd and 3rd star to support Booker in the draft without elite picks or FA without being competitive.

But we have 7 x 1sts and 6 x lottery players to trade and that would have landed 2 (minimum) in the past 12 months.

A huge yay for kemba. He's a top 5 pg in this league and I think he could be a great fit here.

If the Jazz keep tanking....make this trade. They get cap room to build around Rudy.

We get a PG to keep everyone involved for the next two years. And both guys are on two year deals setting us up for summer 2019.

I'd even throw in a few second rounders.

Wouldn't Bledsoe have been the best asset to get Walker?

In the early stages of the game, he was awful. ESPECIALLY on the defensive end. I mean wow...he really has no place on the court in today's modern NBA on the defensive end. It was like Houston was playing us 5 on 4 with him out there.

I just wonder what we could actually get for him though. I don't see any stars getting disgruntled at the deadline (they all already have been traded in this crazy offseason). So, we can't use a load of draft picks plus his expiring to lure a star here. Very unlikely.

I think the only option is to pawn him off to a team that wants to make a run at a free agent this summer and needs cap space. But that means taking on a bad contract which could effect our own 2019 plans AND...what is cap space worth? Maybe a late 1st rounder?

I don't know what game you were watching. That is not what happened. And even so, it was his FIRST game with the team, he's coming back from injury and our guards were throwing the ball at this feet. Thought he played well overall.

I swear to god most posters on this board don't actually watch this team.

Monroe looked light years better than any big we've had since Marcin Gortat.

I agree and Len looked as good as I have ever seen him. While he did not always finish he was aggressive as hell. That is what I want. Could it be that Monroe has been working with him on the offensive end and teaching him some tricks. Quite frankly Chandler has done nothing to help Len improve IMO. I would not be unhappy with a Monroe / Len tandem at the center spot for the rest of the year. I would definitely deal Chandler prior to Monroe. Besides I doubt this team is going to be bad enough to warrant a top 5 pick. I also would like to see some more wins.

You guys are nuts. Kemba is a similar type and caliber player as Bledsoe. They have similar contracts and age as well. He's a very good player, but if you didn't think that Bledsoe is a long term solution at PG for this Suns team, Walker shouldn't be either.

We should just be exploring options to trade for or sign a "steady hand" at PG. Don't need anything fancy, just someone who can fit with Booker and not give up too much on defense.

I just know I don't want to buy out Monroe. If you can use the contract to trade for a better long term asset. That's a move I can live with. Or play him through the year to have his bird rights for next year. But buying him out does nothing

I like the direction of the team with Triano - he is just a good hoops coach like Gentry was.

I wouldn't mind running out Len and Monroe and trade Tyson - not sure the market for Tyson though.

Team still needs a PG - big time next to Booker

I am okay trading Chriss, Daniels, Heat pick, future number 1,maybe even the Miami 2021 -

I totally agree with this. A guy that helps Booker and his teammates gets shots and plays solid average defense. Sign me up for that
