Why's Joe Torre clinging to that faint river of hair? Who is he impressing? Shave it off. It's just isolated and looks like a hotdog.

That's funny why?
Pettitte gets the first two int he second, then walks Iwamura. Upton gets a single, and Paul singles in Iwamura in his first AB of the year (Navarro and Baldelli are resting sore hamstrings). Then Crawford also gets a walk, and they're loaded with 2 out. Good times.
Watch Zobrist pop up and end it.

God damn stupid ass Upton. How much was he out by at the plate? I'm watching it on MLB Gameday.
Ben Zobrist reaches on an error, so ha.
B.J. Upton out at home, catcher Jorge Posada to pitcher Andy Pettite

And Zobrist steals third! Did they really try two pickoff attempts at second? Fools.
DELMON YOUNG WITH THE RBI SINGLE!
The wind is blowing 10 MPH out to left according to MLB Gameday. Maybe we'll see a couple cheap homers.
Dukes with a GIDP. Pettitte really needed that as his pitch count was up to 62 after just getting 7 outs.

They DID pick Zobrist off. But he just kept going anyway, and Pettitte confused himself and threw to second, so Zobrist got the steal.
Pettitte's throwing an awesome combination of groundout pitches and wild pitches. He's.....a bit peaky tonight. Which makes the people laughing at Jae Seo look a bit undermined.
Dukes drives meekly into a double play. Oh well. It's still ncie to have 9 men in a lineup that doesn't necessarily chug ass.

This Zobrist kid isnt quite bad.
And Sham I was laughing at Seo because after the 1st inning, he cursed out loud in Japanese and threw his glove at the wall.
Oh good. But HCYanks was before laughing at the fact that Seo was a starter for us. Which is ironic cos he'd so start for you right now.

He would.....Prob be our 4th best guy behind Wang, Pettite and Mussina. MAYBE Igawa, but I would take Seo over him.
But when Phillip Hughes comes to town.....forget Seo.

Seo gets two big ol popups and the Yankees strand a leadoff single. Rays only up 1 but playing a lot better than New York today, so far.
You know, I was looking at the starters in Durham this year: Hammell, Howell, Talbot, Sonnastine, Niemann. That made me a happy bunny. Just thought I'd mention this.
