Given his development, I want the team to be in the playoffs next season. Have to start really trying to surround Booker with legitimate talent through trades and free agency while letting the current players develop too.

I can't wait for the refs to start giving him the superstar calls he deserves. (Not a fan of biased reffing, and the Suns never get superstar calls even with a superstar, so this is somewhat a moot point). With the calls Harden gets, Booker is averaging probably 28-30 ppg and 10+ FTs pg.

If you're looking for a good laugh, check the GB thread on Booker.

I can't, for the life of me, understand how NBA fans would not like him. What, bc he's lite skin black or something and not as athletic as Kobe, but his game is so similar to Kobe? Because he has an attitude and swagger on a bad team?

Dude is loyal, he'll be a lifelong Phoenix Sun, you can tell by how he talks in postgame conferences. Guy is special. I'm so glad he went 13th and Calipari had him off the bench and the Harrison twins got more PT at Kentucky than he did.

Guy is increasing his assists while decreasing his turnovers, he's playing better defense. He's the next James Harden with adequate defense I'm telling you, people think that's a crazy assertion but he's 21 years old he's getting better month by month, he is the next superstar SG in the league and teams are just mad they don't have him.

GB is very hilarious sometimes.
Last week someone posted about the increased number of future superstars in the league (Booker included)... as you can imagine, LA fans went nuts lol

yeah, with Warren and Booker's emergence as offensive players... I think Suns might have to expedite the playoff push.
If they can nab 2 star level players this team can make the playoffs.... similar to how Boston have picks and pieces but made a move for Horford and Thomas which propelled their playoff push... then now, they have 2 top 3 picks and leading the East.

Suns might not have a choice... because players can demand trades through the media these days if you waste their time tanking.

Booker can score very well and I think he is a 25ppg player now, he just needs to be passable as a defender... he's still bad, but better than last year.

He's improved a great deal since last year but he's got a ways to go to get to where Harden is. Harden was much more efficient and quite a bit better defender in his 3rd year (though Booker does have a lot of his 3rd year left to continue to improve). He had a 66% TS% and a net rating of +20, whereas Booker has a net rating of -6, though Harden was a year older and had played an additional year in college.

)Wow, that link shows Booker shot 41.5% on 3's in October (17-41), but only 35.1% in November (27-77) on almost double the volume. I wonder why he's dipped so much this month.

Sample size. Had he made 2 more shots and percentages would look the same.

Well, actually 5 more. As far as sample size, the November number is, as I mentioned, almost double the sample size. Hopefully it's just a shooting slump.
