Former NBA star Ben Gordon was arrested during a car stop in Manhattan Sunday night for driving with a forged license plate, police said.
The one-time Sixth Man of the Year was pulled over near the corner of West 129th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard around 9 p.m.
During the stop, the officer ran the car’s Florida license plate and noticed the registration expiration date was different than what was displayed on the vehicle.
Gordon, 34, was arrested and given a desk appearance ticket, meaning he will have to go to court to settle the matter in the near future, officials said.
Gordon, who last played for the Dallas Mavericks’ minor league affiliate earlier this year, was arrested two other times this year.
In October, he was arrested after barricading himself inside a Mount Vernon store he owns during a clash with a woman.
Police had to free the woman by cutting a hole in a window and later found Gordon hiding in the bathroom with a knife.
Gordon was also arrested in June for pulling fire alarms in his Los Angeles apartment after police responded to the call but found no fire.
When Gordon failed to appear in court at his arraignment later that month, the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

Not taking into account future productivity. Just straight up having the skill set/impact right now to be top 25. Cause I think so.

I mean, people STILL torture themselves with the possibility of the Knicks drafting Jokic. He's come back down to Earth. Remember last season where some of us speculated whether or not Jokic was a better athlete?
Jokic 15 ppg 11.6 rpg 0.6 bpg
Porzingis 27.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.3 bpg
Both guys have big impact on their teams but it's clear Porzingis has the higher ceiling, so NO...the Knicks DID draft the RIGHT guy.
