You don't have to love or hate Smart to know that when an opposing team ends a defensive possession with Marcus shooting, they're happy. That's the result they are increasingly looking for. We will see if it's a shot the Celtics continue to consider a good outcome. I think up until now it has been. Brad wants Marcus to take that shot.

I love the way Brad calls timeouts, he doesn't accept certain things that the players do and doesn't care about waiting.

My favourite TO was when Sully was driving to the rim to get the win and he called timeout as he was driving. We won that game.

Playing them more early means blowout by the time the 4th quarter rolls through so they can rest then. Better that way when you don't have to over rely on them when things are going bad in the 2nd.

So your end of the bench guys never see any actual meaningful in game action.

You’d make a terrible coach.

They're end of the bench players for a reason. Almost no coach would play Nader important minutes.

Right, the second quarter against Dallas in Game 18 of the regular season = important minutes

THIS IS THE NBA. THIS IS RICK CARLISLE.

We will still win the game calm the **** down.

Win lose or draw, there is no reason for Smart to be shooting the shots he does. I swear my sister could have made atleast one of those.

I was not talking about Smart in any way.

I'm talking about the many posts hating on Brad and generally panicking like this is a playoff game in the garden against a **** coach.

Oh ok. Well Brad did have some funky lineups. As a result Dallas is going to keep this game close til the end and Kyrie is going to have to work extra hard to close it out. Could have been avoided by playing Kyrie and Jaylen more in the second. But whatever.

I hope Brad instructs his players to not allow Wesley Matthews to get any wide open shots. He had 5 already in this game and made 3 of them.

The other players got too busy watching Kyrie play that they forgot they were also in the game with him.

I don't give a **** about anyone on this team, but the truth is the truth.

We win by clawing at bitches in crunch time.

That is Kyrie and Smart above all.

And posters here aren't just arguing with me on this, they arguing with Stevens.

That's irrefutable.

Dudes need to marinate in that before they come at me.

So you don't think Smart should shoot less?

We on a board where a bunch of fanboys defended IT like he was their dad, despite him probably being the worst defensive player of the last 20+ years. You live with his flaws because of what else he brings.

And those dudes lived with it balls-deep every night.

I just said he was the 3rd best player on this team without Hayward, and some people grumbled, but no one made a case for anyone else.

NUFF SAID!

Horford looks soft again. We will win this game but this momentum shift was all on Smart.

Does Al need to get back in that concussion protocol? He's out of it.

If the Celtics lose you will know why because of that one stretch. It's not even that they're playing, it's the extended minutes some of these bench players got.

Shoulda stepped on their necks when we had the chance.

Could've rested our guys in the 4th.
