Re: Tank for Doncic or Porter!
Issue is, you are going to have to deal with the fans and owner. If you are willing to handle that, go for it.
Well, yuh. That's the point. As a Sixers fan, but not hardcore like I am for the Clippers, I simply ignored them for 4 years and so did all the fans dressed as empty seats. Rebuilding is one thing and necessary medicine, but tanking like Hinkie did it is a frigging disgrace.
And I hope you're right about Fultz. He's supposed to be a deadly pullup midrange shooter, and the Sixers have nothing between the rim and the 3-point line.

Looks like we don’t have a choice in the matter anyway.

Re: Tank for Doncic or Porter!
I'm all for being the worst we can be if we're not gonna be able to field a competitive and entertaining team. But let's be realistic, we're gonna get back into the playoff race as soon as we start getting players healthy, then we'll probably have some more injuries and end up with a late lottery pick. Barring a crazy jump in the lottery, there's just no way we end up in a position to draft any of those guys at the top.
I mean, they've been starting Austin Rivers and Sindarius Thornwell, with Wes Johnson next to them ffs. With Juwan Evans and CJ Williams being important parts of the rotation. Just the other day, Montrezl freakin Harrell was guarding Lebron for long stretches, purposely. And even with all of that, we still have a decent NetRtg, which suggests we've been underperforming in the W column.
Tanking this season is not realistic unless you trade away half the roster for bad value, which would be an awful idea both short and long term.

Wow, that went downhill quick. We'll be lucky to even make the playoffs with the way things are going.

In case Clippers fans forgot what it was like to lose their starting point guard for extended periods of time, Patrick Beverley is here to remind them. Beverley had surgery performed on his right knee on Wednesday, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. He will miss “significant time.”

I am curious. If you guys fall out of the top 10 draft slots, but still miss the playoffs this year: any chance you guys would consider trading the #10-#14 pick for a young guard like Dennis Schroder from ATL?
He's avg career highs in points and assists (20ppg/7apg) -- 36% shooting from three -- 18+ PER
He's a good young player on a reasonable contract ($15 million a season). He just doesn't fit our timeline now that we are officially rebuilding.
Thoughts on trading a late lottery pick for a player able to contribute immediately?

Really now, tank tank tank. Golden opportunity.
A chance to go into FA with Blake + Jerry West + High Lotto Pick. Tank.
Please don't go 39-43. Please.

I'd try and flip DJ, Lou, Blake (Yes Blake) Fire Doc, and let it all go. Get some young blue chips in here.

Re: Tank for Doncic or Porter!
Lol, guess the tank is coming alive. This season crashed and burned very quickly. We've had injuries before, but this is a totally different level of injury proneness.
Well, it was fun while it lasted, about 6 games, lol

Re: Tank for Doncic or Porter!
I say just try to develop the rookies and maybe even take a chance on some G-Leaguers...
But if we want to go all in on the tank, we need to give Byron Scott a call, the ultimate tank commander.

No I would certainly not, not because I have anything against young guards, I just don't think Schroder is a good player, definitely not worth a lottery pick on that contract for me.
I would probably do it for Taurean Prince who I really like, but I don't think you guys want to do that
