So, I was thinking....what happens when Glenn Robinson III returns from injury?
Coming into this season, GRIII was the second player I was most excited about only behind Turner. I expected a break out year from him and thought he would be starting at the 3. Well, here we are 18 games in, running a tight 8 man rotation, and everyone is playing well.
Where does GRIII fit in? Whose minutes does he take? I don't feel like anyone deserves to lose minutes at this point, but obviously GRIII will deserve some to.
What do ya'll think we should do and how do ya'll see it actually unfolding?

Re: Glenn Robinson III
It's easy... DC, CJ, Bojan and Lance will play 4-5 minutes less and GRIII will have his own 15-20 minutes...

Re: Glenn Robinson III
I think they'd try a full 10 man rotation with the 2nd five being Lance, CoJo, GRob, Damos, and Leaf. a complete hockey substitution could allow us to run the full 48 minutes. would we have to tighten down to 8 for the playoffs and would that leave GRob and Leaf on the bench, perhaps, but we're a long way away from that problem.

Re: Glenn Robinson III
We have been seeing a lineup with Lance essentially at the 3 and then CoJo/Collison in the back court. It works because CoJo is solid enough defensively to not get taken advantage of by too many bigger guards, but I don't think it's ideal. CoJo/Lance/GR3 I think will be a lot more solid on defense.
There may be an adjustment period though while we get him worked in and back on shape, though.

I agree, I'd expect to see a little less of the DC/CoJo duo, or perhaps less Lance if he's just having a Bad Lance game.
Can't wait to see a lineup with Oladipo and GRIII together playing at this pace. Could take it up another notch.
What's his timetable to return now? I saw on the Pacers snapchat that he's shooting free throws in the boot now.

Heard mid-late February mentioned as the likely return time, so still some way off.
I'm sure we will find a way to get him minutes and the second 5 option could be a good one.

Totally agree. And it will be really good for both Collison and Joseph to get a few less minutes. Some of these games they're gassed at the end (Dipo too, but he's not getting his minutes cut).

I think they will have to work him in starting slow with 5-10 min a game until he's ready to play more minutes, since he can play sf or sg that is to his advantage. 15 min behind Bojan if he is effective. I've been liking what Lance has been doing so I don't want him to lose many of his minutes.
The Pacers have a lot of versatile players and that's a good thing. It will be good to get GRIII back for the depth.

I saw yesterday that he was off his crutches and doing some stand still shooting. I don't think we'll see him till Jan maybe late Jan.

Re: Glenn Robinson III
I like Lance in the backcourt more than at SF although I have to admit the small ball second unit has been effective.
