Depends on how much time is left... do we have any time outs left. Say 5 seconds to go if we were down 3 I would call a timeout. Down 2 I would let him attack.

If it's say 10 seconds on the clock I would let him attack down 2 anyway. Would give us enough time to foul after the made basket and put the other team to the line.

What does maxing Simmons have to do with calling timeout or not? But to answer your question it depends. There will Ben other shooters on the flooor with him.

Maxing Ben = situation that makes him the most threat

I just noticed that most times. The situation ends up with Saric taking the shot. What usually happens is Ben's defender is sagged off while Saric's defender is trending towards as a help D towards Ben. Ben most times would make a high quality pass to Saric, seems like most times Saric will miss it. Lol

I also notice that BB has a good rotation that favors Simmons with having another playmaker with him oncourt to lessen his burden

Simmons has Saric to start. Then the sub pattern is TJ subbing Saric. This allows Simmons to take some rest as a playmaking PF, which is Saric role.

They're going to have to extend the x-axis soon, on the positive AND negative side.

The way Lolzo is going left, we'll need one of these to view the image on soon enough.

Fultz' first 4 games are career defining but those guys still have years to improve their games.

I wasn't huge on either but I don't get the joke. No one looks particularly good here aside from Simmons and Tatum and Anunoby--did I miss the posts before the draft where you argued Tatum was a better pick than Ball? That we need to trade down to get Anunoby?

Also our boy Fultz looks as bad as any of them between the bad preseason and the mystery injury. Don't think we're in a strong position to be mocking other top picks not playing well the first month of the season.

this has been a running inside joke due to some very confident predictions pre-draft.

Not meant at all to boast but it's a reminder to others not to be overconfident and mock others' viewpoints. Fultz we frankly don't know what he will become yet. The only sure-fire superstar from the 2017 rookie class is Simmons. The rest, while there are positive and negative signs, we still can't definitively say either way.

I have never seen a player improve so much game to game as I have with Simmons. There will come a time in the not to distant future when both Ben and Embiid don't get tense near the end of the game and make all of the turnovers that they make. But even with that, watching the growth of this guy is amazing.

Hey Lloyd,

I know you hate the fultz trade for the principle....

But do you still think lonzo ball and josh jackson are the 2 clear cut best players from the 2017 draft and only these two have a chance to be elite as you stated in the pre-draft threads?

Or have you changed your mind after these first 15-20 games regarding ball and jackson?

Unbreakable is still adamant that Ball will eventually be the best player from the 2017 draft. What about you?

Brotha, I put my draft board up every year. You attempting to mock me doesn't change my opinion. If the thought that I think Lonzo Ball is a better prospect than Markelle Fultz bothers you that much, you shouldn't let it. I don't care one wit that you think Fultz is a great prospect. I'm not mad at you. Don't get mad at me for saying who I think is better.

As I said before, both Ball and Jackson are better NBA prospects than Fultz, and I'd take Dennis Smith and Isaac ahead of him too. (I'd trade Fultz in a heartbeat for any one of them) The only change in my opinion now, is that I probably underrated Tatum a bit and Markennen a lot. As I said before, I don't think Fultz is in Lonzo Ball or Josh Jackson's class and he's no better than anyone I said was in the 2nd tier.

ok I understand that you think Fultz will be a lesser player than Ball and Jackson....I don't mind that at all. I'm not saying you're wrong in that department, but I'm not saying you're right either. It's too early to tell imo. But that is not what I am asking at all.

I'm asking regarding your analysis of Ball and Jackson as separate entities from the fultz trade. You claimed that these 2 were top of the 2017 draft, the best of the bunch and the players that would become elite from the 2017 draft class. Have you changed your mind regarding these 2 players after watching them play?

Do you still think that they will ULTIMATELY be the best two players from the 2017 draft and become superstars? YES or NO? simple question
