I love that there is no quit in this years team. What a game, what a win!

Any news on Batum? I didn't get to tune in until the second half but yahoo said it didn't look all that bad. I'm just making sure they didn't get the info from RB.

Really happy for Lamb. I know he wanted to get that W against his old coach who never played him

Was starting to wonder if I was some sort of bad luck. I started watching every minute of every game -- even posting in these threads -- and we go on a big losing streak. Then I missed the LAC/MIN games because I didn't realize they were on, and we win both. Then I tune in to tonight's game with us up three in the third ... and then the Wizards go on a run and promptly end up down nine.

Glad to see them win this one, especially with two tough games coming up: CLE/SAS back-to-back, ouch.

It sounds worse than yahoo let on. Our playoff hopes may be over if he has to have surgery now.

Didn’t we all pretty much only expect him to last a handful of games coming back that soon? He should have taken the Zeller bone bruise route and wait 3 months to come back.

Of course because we are the Hornets. Maybe it is just a not deep bruise but with our lack of luck, he will be done for the year just as we were on the verge of going on a significant win streak or at least a winning run.

Hes basically the only person on my trade block (good Dwight is back for now). Its hard not to be concerned about him. The cat might already be out of the bag with him and he might not have any trade value if he doesn't put up another run of sustained good play. Hes just so stiff and sluggish for only being 28 and its been getting worse for a couple years at least. He already looks like hes in his 30's physically. His salary over the next three years is 24/25/27 million with a player option on the last year. I think Lamb has already clearly surpassed him. I'm pretty worried about the prospect of him finishing out his entire contract here.

Marvs contract is a year too long, but hes valuable enough to the team right now at his salary that there isn't much point in trading him unless we randomly find a really good offer or we bottom out at some point during the season.

Yeah, we cant be losing games when Howard gets 26 points on 13 shots and MCW hits two 3s. Making a comeback and winning by dominating down the stretch in the 4th might have been the best possible outcome for this teams phsyche.

The career trajectory of Lamb's 3 point shot gets even more confusing now that he is apparently lights out.

I think the key with Dwight is to play outside/in instead of inside/out. When we work the PnR + ball movement + 3 pointers strategy it forces the defense to sell out more towards the perimeter, which opens the middle up more and then Dwight can catch the ball in space and destroy the rim.

Bingo. Plays closer to his strengths and maximizes opportunities.

Agree Batum is important but I prefer using him off the bench and starting Lamb. If Nic is out for a while need to get Monk back into the rotation at the 2. MCW showing some value now.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I saw the box score last night, but I just finished watching the game this morning while prepping Thanksgiving dinner

That was a exciting game to watch with a lot of interesting matchups from Kemba vs Wall, MKG vs Beal, Lamb vs Otto/Oubre, to Dwight vs Gortat

As much as I wished Kemba would've made that and-1 layup with the free throw to end the game in regulation, I enjoyed watching how the team played in overtime. I wish I would've saw the game in live time action without knowing who won to enjoy it that much more

Streaking with 3 straight quality wins trying to get to and above .500 I wish it wasn't the LeBron James Cavaliers that were the next opponent

Batum getting reinjured certainly makes it hard to be as enthusiastic as we should be also. We can never have nice things!

It will undoubtedly hurt the team from a depth standpoint but I've been playing close attention to this team and they should be able to stay afloat if Batum is out for a while. As long as MKG isn't out of the lineup I think they'll be okay. Clifford just need to learn how to micromanage better and shorten the rotation. It's not necessary to play 10 or more players in every game

If I'm not mistaken I think Charlotte is 5-3 with Lamb & MKG starting at the wings together with quality wins over Denver, Memphis, Orlando, and Milwaukee. To be fair though, that's not a slight at Batum because they're 3-2 with him & MKG starting this season. I was just making a point that most of their losses have came during the absence of MKG
