According to this both Simmons and Ball are killing it defensively

That metric is based on box score stats. Ball’s over inflated rebounding will skew it, considering he is getting the benefit of playing with Brook Lopez. Will say he isnt a complete turnstile and he is picking up steals and blocks... how much is gambling/sagging tho? Do we really believe Lonzo is one of the best defenders in the league?

I really hope Ben improves his free throw shooting in the offseason. I hope he makes a Magic Johnson like improvement where foul shooting wasn’t a strength of Magic but he became a 90% foul shooter. Come on Ben just work on your foul shooting. Let’s go. It will make your life so much easier. Wall wasn’t good either and now is a good foul shooter. I’m very hopeful Ben can become an 80% foul shooter within 5 years because he is supposed to have a Kobe like work ethic.

I just want to see him start to take some 3 pt shots at some point. He will eventually need to be able to knock them down with some semblance of consistency. So why delay the inevitable? Only way to gain the confidence in the 3 ball is to shoot the 3 ball often enough to build up a consistent form, release, and see it go in once in a while.

He will, don't worry.

For his entire life he's never been forced or felt compelled to shoot a jump shot because of his athletic gifts.

Given that he is already dominant in year 1, he's only got to make incremental improvements in other areas during off-seasons to cement himself as a top 5 player in the league.

80% might be pushing it. I’d take a solid 70% easily for him. Anything above that is gravy.

I'm saying 80% within 5 years. I'm giving him a 5 year window to hit that mark. Wall is there. Just shoot free throws every day for 12 hours a day in the summer. That's it. That's very attainable. It just irks me all the points he loses at the line and that also affects him attacking and not wanting to get fouled. An 80% foul shooting Ben with no jumper can average 25 points easily.

He has to fix his form first before taking a ton of shots. I'm really disappointed in the coaching staff that this far into his pro career his shooting form looks bad. Where is our coaching staff? Where is our shooting coach?

Yeah couple of times against Portland they kept sagging until they were under the basket and Ben had a layup. It will be interesting how teams adjust the 2nd or 3rd time they go against Ben.

Fun fact. I'm on a train that just passed through where Ben grew up in Melbourne. Can't believe a kid from right here is making it big over there. He's going to be great for the game in Australia, he's got a whole country behind him regardless of who we support. Philly are going to get a lot more new fans too.

Nice. But it’s Philly not Phili.

She’s supposedly bipolar. Even so, she only had that one public lash out, she has been supportive since then, or at least as long as I’ve followed her on twitter.

Yeah, because I believe she made some drama on twitter at Simmons before the season started, now she sounds like a proud sister version of Lavar

Lavar isn't annoying without the platform, which she doesn't have.
