Bad trade. Jordan isn't worth that pick.

I'll be surprised if the OKC W last night doesnt jump start things for that team.

They really needed that win against the perfect opponent. Man I hope those 2 teams match up in the playoffs. Still think GSW wins, but im hoping im wrong.

Tired of seeing both GS and CLE in the Finals.

OKC is still sub .500 team. Westbrook played exceptionally well and was able to carry Melo, George sub 50% shooting. Conversely GSW had a horrible shooting game. Is this sustainable? IDK. If anything, this game was an anomaly.

Imo after Hayward injury Boston treated the season like a sprint instead of a marathon, I wouldn't be surprised to see them burn out then get back to being good but not great.

I think they'll sustain it for sure. They got fresh young talent to carry them longterm. Tatum, Irving, Rosier, Brown are young studs.

I mean, Melo and PG are perimeter oriented players. They arent expected to shoot over 50%, only C's and old school traditional PF's are expected to regularly shoot over 50% from the field.

I think its sustainable. OKC has the 3rd best defensive rating in the league so far, and before last night, Westbrook had been awful shooting below 40%. Now thats indefensible. Westbrook is bound to turn it around and raise his efficiency.

For comparisons sake, newly formed big 3 type of teams usually take time to find their chemistry. Notably the 2011 Heat started 8-7 and went to the finals. 2014 Cavs started 5-7, hell even went as far as 20-20 until they turned it around.

From what I can remember, the only newly formed big 3 team that hit the ground running was the Boston Celtics on 2008. OKC needs to make a few moves to bolster that bench of theirs. I dont think they will have any problem being a successful team in the regular season. Now going up against GSW in a playoff series is a different story.

Going into that game every podcast I listened to brought up just how awful WB had been. It’s been awful to watch in the few games I saw OKC play. He finally played like himself and you could see just how seamlessly everyone else fits in around him when he does. Hopefully this is a sign that he’ll go back to being that guy.

Their bench guys have been brutal outside of Felton and Grant. Patterson who was supposed to be a coup has been awful. They don’t have a backup C to control the paint and it shows when Adams is off the floor. Plus they need a 3&D wing who can help in crunch time when teams are just leaving Roberson wide open.

In my original Melo trade proposal with OKC, I had

Melo Lee KOQ

For

Kanter Abrines Singler MCD Ferguson Huestis 2nd

I doubt they’d send back Ferguson now, but if they did, I’d do that in a heartbeat to send them Lee / KOQ.

I don’t how they could get it done but two trade rumor guys in Hood and Favors would push that team to another level.

About to check out Blazers vs Nets. I slept in, and just realized there's a game on.

Seriously though, I hope this guy gets well. He's clearly battling some major demons over these past few years and it's encroaching on his ability to live his life at a very basic level, it seems.

Ive always been convinced the reason why Rose went AWOL last year was because he just didnt want to play anymore.

Came back to try and do well and get 1 last nice check to support his family for many more years to come. But it didnt happen. Even admitted during training camp with the Cavs that teams were going to pay him double come next years free agency.

But even when healthy, the game has just passed him by. It is a sad situation since he is constantly hurt and people forget he did have another knee issue to end the season last year. But If he walks away, I do wish him the best.

Plus (at this moment) they have no one in the top 50 in minutes played.
