Who is the nets player who matches lebron in size/strength/quickness? putting a "quick" guy on lebron doesnt shrink lebron down from being 6'9" 265 lbs. he can just put his hand up and have the inbounder toss it up. our quick guys wont prevent an inbound there just like they wont prevent him from scoring down low

your not preventing a lebron inbound without double teaming him 95 feet from the hoop. even then he is fast enough and big enough to get the inbound. and doubling 95 feet from the hoop is a bad idea... you know, since its tough to rotate back to your man when he is 95 feet away under the rim

Quickly double, make LBJ give the ball up, force him to kick out or force his teammates to get open and make a play. The odds of creating a turnover increases when the ball is out of his hands. We could get a tip we could get a freebie or whatever a botch on them. DO SOMETHING! whats the worst thing? one of them scores? I rather they work for their pts then LBJ doing the same easy layup over and over.

only lebron doesnt give up the ball easy in those isntances. its why teams dont double him. he is better offensively when you double him. kenny rattled off the numbers after the game. he isnt going to panic move it. he is going to pressure the double team, break it down and score himself or gind someone for a wide open dunk or layup.

And if he breaks out of the double teams, ok, he's a beast. WE TRIED. It's better than letting him go in unchallenged. He wasn't challenged at ALL. Do something. That's all.

the "do something" you are referring to is putting lebron in a situation (double teaming him) where he is most effective at getting them a bucket in a game that was close at the time

If not scheme, why not personnel? DMC, RHJ weren't on LBJ(again can't vividly recall if RHJ was but got switched off with Dinwiddie). As soon as Dindwiddie was left in no mans land, jump on LBJ force him to move the ball backwards or to his teammates. DO SOMETHING.

DMC and RHJ where both on lebron at one point. it was DMC gaurding him most of the 4th down the strech.

again, you cant force the ball out of lebrons hands... he is too big and too good. it doesnt work. this has been proven over 20 years. you dont want to double him. and the nets knew that coming in and spoke to it extensively afte the game as to why no one does it anymore

Overall, this was a great game by the Nets with lots of positives. One slight cricitism of Kenny and some of you think that we're demanding the Nets be 82-0.

What adjustment is any coach in the NBA making when Lebron James is in the zone? an elite level scorer, ball handler, passer...seriously, what was the coach supposed to do?

watch this footage. this is Lebron in the zone against one of the best teams within the last 25 years of basketball. you tell me what should have been done differently.

you're showing us footage from 10 yrs ago? lol come on MDB! LBJ isn't the 10 yrs ago LBJ(not that he isn't dominant, just dominates differently than 10 yrs ago)

really? 10 yrs ago???

The point of this is, when he is in the zone like that, there really isn't much that a coach can do scheme wise to stop it.

I could bring up the 2016 NBA finals when he went into beast mode against the Warriors if you want me to be more current about it. *shrugs*

yall go ahead and beat Kenny up though if it makes you feel better. The focus is now on getting a win at home versus the Blazers and getting to 7-10 and keeping pace.

Dear lord you two are annoying. Acting like people in here are calling for Kennys head when there's some disagreement about a decision that was made.

There's pros and cons to both choices. I'm sure the almighty Kenny is second guessing his decision now. That's what a good basketball mind does. Not sure why you two are acting like once LBJ gets going, every team in the NBA just packs it in and calls it a night. That's absolutely NOT what Kenny did.

And a double team does NOT equal a layup for the other team. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read here.
