How do you propose we manage that? We'd need to be drafting in the 1-3 range for Ayton, 8-10 for Bridges and 22-27 for Trier (which may come up if he keeps ballin'). Right now we've got nothing, unless we tank of miss re PO and get lucky, then we may get a shot at Ayton.
Only team in position to make that possibly happen is the Suns - even then the pick they get from us will likely be too low.
Flip some players, puppa.
Im always ready to fantasy trade our guys for picks.
We tank it up, and get lucky in the draft.
We trade Hassan to Cavs for their picks and contracts.
Move Dragic for a mid to late first and future considerations.
Would be a nice youthful core, Ayton, Adebayo, Bridges, Winslow, and Trier. Wouldn't need to worry about losing next year's pick, as we'd have plenty of youth to develop.
I can get behind that as a rebuilding plan. If Mikal keeps ballin' though, that Nets pick may need to be top-5, at which point Porter also becomes a consideration if he enters.
I would expect that a Dragic deal would likely bring a young PG with it, as the teams who would covet Dragic are teams without established PGs, but looking to make a PO push. Denver, Philly, Orlando and New York would be the ones I'd be looking at, who may want to strengthen their PG stock. This is where I'd be targeting my offers, some will have to go down, but this would be my starting expectation:
Denver: Dragic/something for Mudiay/Faried/pick (Lotto protected)
Philly: Dragic/Ellington for some combo like Bayless/Okafor/Pick
Orlando: Dragic/Elly/Hammons for Biz/young/pick I would try to get Isaac, Elf, then Hezo in that order, protection depending on who we got (might drop pick completely if they send Isaac)
New York: Dragic/Hammons for Noah/Frank/pick (Lotto protected)
