He used the nebulous "draft assets" without specifying what exactly those would be. He even said "other incentives (if any)" in his original post suggesting the belief that Burks for Ersan and Babbitt straight up is value enough. Couple that with his downplaying of both Ersan and Babbitt as players and the value of the cap space their expiring deals would create while at the same time stating the Jazz's goal of creating cap space to benefit themselves doesn't lend me to believe that whatever potential "draft assets" he'd propose are really of any value to the Hawks.

Truthfully, neither Babbitt or Ersan are going to bring us anything of value in return. Ersan's injury has killed his value since his pt has been greatly taken over by Collins and Prince getting extended minutes. There is probably 15-20 for both, neither is going to show off.

While he did say that, he then went after and said draft pick assets. I would have waited until he said what that was.

Granted he was also responding to King Ken so there is that...

Well most trade proposals you lead with what you think is fair rather than trying to diminish what it is you hope to attain. We're not 4 year olds and all the other RealGM teams are not our older brother telling us to give them all of our candy because it's disgusting and we wouldn't like it. Most of us here are old enough to ask "well why do you want it then?"

It doesn't take much to research what "draft assets" Utah has. They basically have their own picks and a couple 2nds owed starting in 2021, I brought up a 1st already only to be called crazy so the potential "draft assets" being offered picture is rather clear. That and we are not strictly discussing Ersan and Babbitt's value, we're are also discussing the value that their expiring contracts have.

Given all that, Alec Burks is a very disappointing return.

He literally just said it wasn't going to be an unprotected 1st or any type of 1sts. He had no interest in that. Basically, he wanted to get rid of an overly negative asset for two positive but minimal assets. I have seen this play it's hand often. Fans of other teams don't value your team and think you don't value it like they don't which couldn't be further from the truth.

At the end of the day, I could have broken down trade value to him but it wouldn't make any difference.

As for Jabari Parker, I am not sold we have the value that the Bucks would want in a trade for him and I am even less certain we would want him in a trade. He would interfere with Collins's trajectory but more importantly, his need for us would be in 2018-19 than this season.

Cole Aldrich will only cost the Hawks $2 Million in salary in 2018-19.

Not entirely true. That is how much is guaranteed so he will get that regardless.

This might be a deal for the deadline, but I believe Atlanta would rather have a Korver style deal for Belinelli. The early 2nd is nice, but the first is always going to be nicer for moving purposes (moving up).

Multi-team deal with Atlanta getting Evan Turner, Cole Aldrich, 2018 Portland Lotto Protected 1st and 2018 Chicago 2nd for Kent Bazemore and Marco Belinelli?

Sun's fan. I come in peace. Just wanted to know the situation with Schroder, is he someone that Hawks management holds in high regard moving forward or is he available for trade. Also, if Suns were to inquire, what would the asking price be?

Schroder is held in the same regard with Hawks' management, probably the same way the Suns regard Booker.

Oh ok. Not too long ago I heard that he may have been available for the right price. But if he's held that high then it would be difficult to work something out for both camps or even initiate dialogue.

Schroeder's not available (unless it's a too good to pass up type deal).
If he does get put on the trade block it'll be at draft time when the Hawks know which HIGH LOTTERY pick it'll be.

We will give you Dennis for your unprotected 2018 1st and Tyson Chandler to match salaries or whatever it takes.

In truth, it's really difficult to say how available D Schröder is.

We have a new GM and are months into our rebuild, meaning the entire roster is apt to be reconstructed. No one our roster is untouchable. (Though J Collins is unlikely to be moved anytime soon.)

Dennis is on a good contract, with improved production and still years away from his prime. He might not be in our GM's long term plans, but it would likely take a prime asset to acquire him at this point--as his stock is still on the rise.

A top ten draft pick is a likely starting point for negotiations.

I think this would be something to revisit around draft night once both teams know what their exact fortunes in the lottery are. We can't say for sure where Schroder's value stands with the new GM's plan but between Phoenix's own pick, the Miami pick, Bucks pick, your prospects, and suitable contract filler I believe there's certainly room for negotiation.

I think everyone on the Hawks is available. Collins is probably more untouchable than anyone.

How about top 3 protected for 2018 and Jared Dudley for Schroder? Better yet, if the Suns do somehow land top 3, than you get the Miami and Bucks pick for 2018 and then still get the Suns 2019 pick.

Yes. Yes.

We accept this offer. And no take backs.

We will literally drive Dennis to your front door to make this happen.

I want this so much...

Tweet your GM and I'll tweet mine.

Schroder will likely help the Suns win several more games this season so Suns would likely finish 6-9 range. Couple that with your hopefully top 3 pick and that's a good jump on your rebuild.

That last one is just unbelievable - pretty much Dennis, Minny and Houston 1sts for 2 2nds and 2 old dudes, smdh.

Or maybe it's a Trades and Transaction special. I find it hard to believe a Hawks fan is proposing take 2nds and old guys for Dennis.
All 3 trades are terri-bad.

Yes I went through several pages on that board and didn't find it anywhere. All those trades are beyond terrible for the Hawks. I think the one I proposed is mutually beneficial, though I'm not sure a lot of Suns fans share my opinion on trading our pick for Schroder.

Yes, I agree all those trades are horrible from the Hawk's perspective

The trade proposal was not from this site. I'll pm you both the link.

By the way, thanks for the replies to my initial post Hawk's fans.
