Bagley has been great but there are holes to pick in his game from an NBA perspective, one thing you can't question is his dynamo-like play. He's like a German Shepherd locked onto one of those giant police mitts.

Bagley can handle the rock. At least give him a screen to dribble around and maybe step inside the arc before letting that go. His jumper is weak. Especially pulling up and from that range.

I think Ayton still goes #1.

He's a mobile, athletic, ripped 7'1" 250 with a 7'5" wingspan and he'll likely finish the year averaging 20 and 12.

NBA teams probably won't even consider his disappointing rim protection. They'll just be enamored with all those other things.

I think at this stage you are right - Bagley's knock is that he is a tweener, however if he continues to play like that (especially that second half) he's going to be hard to knock back at one.

They mentioned him at half-time in the game just gone - apparently he's one guy now in conversation for top 10, especially given how poor some of the other top-rated guards are.

First time watching Bagley and obviously he is very talented but he seems like a perfect example of a guy that's not getting a lot out of going to college. K was basically playing him at center and he just physically overpowered kids.

Eh I think once you get past 7'2/7'3 you run the risk of being over sized and unable to keep up with the pace of the NBA game. A lot of the freakishly tall 7'5 guys end up not accomplishing much due to being too tall and not having the lateral agility to use all that length.

I’m admittedly ignorant of the kid, but just assuming that he is a player similar to his father, then the only reason Manute was in the league was because of his obscene length.

Manute Bol At 7’1, with a 7’5 wingspan wouldn’t be in the league. He was simply too wonky of an athlete, and too skinny.

He had natural shot blocking instincts, but he would have been a severe minus in every other metric.

If the kid turns into a similar freak length wise then maybe he becomes interesting, especially considering the fact that he has grown up as a basketball player when his dad didn’t.
