Any more? It's been a while since it's been enjoyable. It does get old waiting for young guys to develop though.

Meaning I don't even like our individual players.

It does. Not sure I agree with this timeline thing anymore. I'm not even sure our young guys will amount to much. Not giving up on them but I also don't want to wait 3 years to find out who they are.

Yeah, it would be nice if we saw more from our power forwards. A big part of the problem is the wasted off season, training camp etc. The fact that these guys didn't have a real coach and then just got a brand new one on the fly who is changing things while other teams are just getting into their groove after real training camps, etc, is going to take it's toll.

I just hope our players stay engaged regardless of these outcomes.

Good point. I used to be a huge McD fan but he's losing me. I don't like our coaching choices. I don't love any of our draft picks besides Booker. Trades have been for more picks.

Just a disaster season and I really need the Suns for entertainment purposes. Championships are nice, but I'd take 10 competitive playoff teams over 1 great team and 9 bad years.

Yeah, I agree. What it comes down to is we spend time watching them for entertainment. If they don't provide entertainment, why bother?

Yeah, I'm the same about McD. It's hard to believe he was SO out of touch about the coaching issue. Based on what he said in interviews, it didn't sound like he ever really liked Watson though, and his approach. That makes it tough to know things....the fact the players went to the GM and maybe owner and told them they had to hire Watson...that he was the right guy...even Chandler, put him in kind of a hard place. In hindsight obviously the right decision would have been to ignore that.

It's also hard to know how much Sarver was involved in all these decisions.

It would be easy to judge all of McD's picks and trades and pick apart his bad ones. Ultimately I think he's made a lot of questionable moves and I think it's too early to judge any picks within 2 years. You can claim them as wins earlier but I wouldn't claim any as losses that early, particularly if they are really young.

What I'd give for him to have hired Brad Stevens when he came on though.

The offense sucks because it relies on high scoring from perimeter but suns only have 1 good perimeter scorer.

Triano staying long term or just temp?

Suns need a balanced approach and not the Rockets and Warriors style because Suns don't have the right offensive players to mimic those teams.

I'm worried that McDonough is going to **** up this year's draft pick. He's been great in the late lottery and even the late 1st round with Bogdanvoich. It's troubling that our highest draft picks are among our worst players. Yes, I know they are young and they need time. I get that. They are just still so very raw and by the time we figure out that they aren't any good we'll be well screwed. Do we give him another top 5 pick to possibly screw up and let him hire his 3rd coach? I've been one of his supporters since day 1 but I'm starting to turn on him like I gave up on Len completely last year.

Effort and Intensity is lacking for Suns.

But mostly of Booker and Warren aren't hitting shots the team has nothing because X and Os don't exist on the playbook.

It's such a terribly constructed team at the moment. Glaring holes everywhere. It's early but...we tanked last year for Jackson but is there really any difference between him and anyone selected from 5-10? I would just hate to waste another year for no reason.

You know the worst thing for tonight? I'm with family and other people.. socializing, etc. 1st-Q you can tell the game isn't going our way but the amount of people I just have to hear talk **** about the team (family/locals+people out of state) just gets my blood boiling. I told/explained to my best ability w/o blowing a fuse that the team is young and around 2020 we'll be playing some good basketball. When I said that, I just had flashbacks of McD explaining to all of us at this years Summer League in Vegas.

It just irks me that people that have no information about our current team+learning pisses me off so much. (GG also me wearing a Suns hat tonight).

Being a fan is tough but I'll stick through the dog days for something on the other end one day. I really do hope.

That starting lineup was disgusting. First game of the year I didn't finish. Lost me early in the 3rd then turned it off halfway thru the 3rd.
You wanna showcase Monroe but let him play against Cousins/Davis next to Chandler? Ok.

Suns offense is CHAOS.

Don't let the good shooting fool you. Those games are very hard to replicate. Hence why good teams have a fall back tactic when shots are off.... Go inside through smart X and Os, and clamp down defensively.

Suns lack those two.... The hot shooting and scoring from Warren and Booker will come and go... But a proper system will take you a long a way.

Triano as an assistant is fine... But they need a main chef to stir a system in place. I don't like the "play hard" be "competitive" mantra... Yes, those are actually prerequisite for PRO players and not strategy... In this level Tactics get the Ws

Same thing here. And they happened to be newly Warrior fans...

Yeah, it's disgusting.

If we want to compete we need a good PG, at least someone who can start in the league. Period. If we don't trade for one we are throwing the season away...another time.
Dear McDonough, we have 17176226 picks, please use a couple of them and get someone who can help this team for real. NOW.

Are we gonna compete in 2025? It's funny (and sad) because we are that bad that every year is the first year rebuilding.

We are taking bad decisions all the time for the last few years, and that's why we are on a bad position and in a big hole.

We have Booker and TJ as a solid players and after that....nothing. Not a solid coach, not a winning culture, not an style of play, not huge upside players on the roster (hopefully Jackson)....sometimes it's depressing to think about it.

If McDonough drafts an All-Star in 2018 or 2019 nobody will care how bad these years were.

2011-2014 were less enjoyable for me than 2015-2017 as we at least we have a direction now.

to be fair we had top picks (2013, 2016) in underwhelming draft pools

Neither team made a three pointer in the second half.
