And in the end it'll even itself out. You're not gonna be able to keep winning coming from behind all season long. Career 34 - 36 % 3p shooters Galloway, Bradley and Harris won't continue shooting 40+ % from 3 all season long. Just like Jerami Grant is back to being a trash 3pt shooter and just like Aaron Gordon's shooting has come back down to earth hard.

Either way, It doesn't really matter. We have lost like this to trash teams and we have lost like this to good teams. It's on us playing better.

Alrighty lol, I guess we’re trash, I’ll take the 12-6 trash, we prefer being under the radar.

You can't seriously believe you'll keep winning games like that and that average to below average 3pt shooters are gonna keep having career shooting years like this. Not gonna happen.

When you're up 15 in the 3rd quarter at home against a ~44 win team, you close the game and bring it home, period.

That’s our thing now, we’ve won 7 games when trailing 10.

Using this logic, shouldn’t things “even out”for the Thunder at some point then?

Well Harris and Bradley shot terribly last and we got the W, I have faith in our squad and I don’t believe we need to constantly be lights out over our heads to win.

We are a good team, isn’t really anything to deny, you can say we will suck down the line, but we don’t suck now.

Of course they should. You have one team performing well below expectations and their level in the win-loss column and one team that looks better than expected, but is still just fighting for the 7th to 8th spot to make the Playoffs in the east.

The Pistons are currently getting career years shooting wise form very unlikely sources. The Tolliver-Galloway lineup has a +23 NetRtG right now. Jackson-Drummond has a negative NetRtG. Their starters NetRtG is -16.0.
Their starters of course will get better, but their bench will also regress to the mean. They will win ~44 games and fight for a Playoffs spot in the East. Not too bad, but not that good either.

Of course they're not 'scrubs' ;) I just wanted to express my frustration about giving away games to lesser teams. That just can't happen with a team full of vets.

We aren’t a lesser team, we are better, super talent doesn’t equate success, ask Dwight, Steve Nash and Kobe.

Cant argue with that. I also think that is why they are going to start stringing solid quarters together and then games. It won’t equate to any kind of a win streak for a bit, but the signs are there that this can be a very good team still. I give them until mid January to turn things around.

What has me shaking my head though are the rotations and sub patterns. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to them.

 You can't be this delusional. We're so clearly underperforming our potential and talent these last 3-4 weeks it's ridiculous. Once our offense gets going (and it will; there's just way too much talent there for that not to happen; might need to get a coach who can help with that tho), we'll be a Top 3-4 team in league while you fight for the Playoffs.

Have fun tho. Once that bench stops massively overperforming, things will look very different.

Lol this is going no where, I’ll leave it at that, we are closer to the team we were 2 seasons ago than last, with roster improvements on top.

Have a good one.

Look, this forum is generally friendly to other teams fans. But, as you mentioned, you were lurking. If so, I am sure that you could see that most of the Thunder fans on this board did not take the loss last night well and have serious concerns about the team. Saying, the Pistons don’t suck, but we sucked last night and beat your asses anyway will not endear you to most of the folks on this board.

I was very civil and didn’t say anyone sucked, just defended my squad when they were labeled trash compared to you guys purely because you have 2 superstars. In fact I don’t think you guys suck I think you’ll turn out to be a solid squad, again just defending squad, good luck to you guys the rest of the season. Westbrook is a beast.

Yeah, ok, fair enough. But go defend your team on the teams board. You have been around long enough, you know how this works.

Sorry mate I'm still a little furious because they keep giving these games away. Did not mean to take it out on you. ;)

No worries at all, these are our teams, I’ve perfected the art of tuning everything NBA out after a tough loss, better for my nerves!

Take care guys!
